To all of those thinking of buying this 32gb sd card hold your wallets.. People this is a class 2 card. Remember this phone is a very fast & powerfull machine with a stunning 8mp camera and 720p video.. I dought if you want to put a very,very,very slow processing class 2 memory card in it. The best route is to purchase a 16gb class 6 sd card for 79.99 and really enjoy the speed of taking pictures and recording video.. Trust the 32gb their trying to sell u for $100 bucks is no match for a 16gb class 6 for $79.99.
If u are confused by this post just google class 2 vs class 6 micro sd memory cards.. The rest is history....

you're not going to see the speed issue in taking video or pictures nearly as much as transfering them. Don't do what I did though, and buy a fake card on ebay

I'm glad someone came out and said what speed the 32GB card's speed actually was. I have some Class 6 regular-SD cards and they are nothing short of stunning, like the phone.

The class determines the minimum write speed the card must meet. Some cards might specify a class 2, but perform at speeds much higher. Mostly important when recording HD video.

Bingo. It's write speed that makes the difference. I am photographer and need fast-writing cards in my DSLRs. I hadn't thought about the HD video recording with the Droid X. I bought the 32gb card for music storage needs. I'll have to test the card for HD recording. I suspect it's more of an issue when taking long videos.

You should ask yourself... How will I use this card... and how often will I transfer HUGE amounts of data, and will I wipe and refill my music collection on a somewhat regular basis.

Then again... 32GB is just plain awesome in that small of a form factor. I for one will be happy with a class 2 card. Don't forget the 'Class' markings are min spec. Most things are not min spec but somewhat greater in performance.

The Sandisk 32 GB card from Verizon for $100 is a great deal, and is running fine on my X. Loaded 0ver 2000 songs with missing sync from a Mac in about 20 min. Camera and video camcorder are responsive and fine ! You'll never notice a "class " difference in day to day once large amounts of files are loaded.

I ordered the 32gb card from Verizon,so that I can actually compare its performance with the class 4 16gb that came with it. I can always return it if it actually degrades performance, rather than depend on assumptions that it will.

im rocking my 32gb and only paid 53$ from vzw online. that my friend is worth buying at that price and free overnight to boot.

the store i bought bought my x from charged me 150$ for the card and i still haven't seen it. that card will get returned.

You most likely will notice a difference in doing hi def video recording. All hi def video cameras recommend only class 6 for that use.

The 16GB card that comes with the Droid X is a class 4 (at least mine is). The specs say the Droid X can handle Class 6 cards. The difference in transfer speed between a clsas 2 and a class 6 is probably about 2-3 times faster - a noticable difference.
