Was your Nexus 7 defective or in Perfect condition?

Returned my 16GB that I bought at Office Max. Lots of issues, would not wake up with welcome screen, could not swipe to bring up icons. Basically DOA.......will wait for new shipments this coming week.

Mine has light bleed, not too bad or anything, and a dead pixel. I'm returning it. :(
Love the freakin' tablet though.

I've literally gone through 6 tablets already, all returned or exchanged. I was going to keep the one that had little light bleed on the left side when you look at it at portrait mode, but guess what...the screen started flickering when the wifi bars dropped to two, lol. It's crazy, I really question the QC. Because going through 7 tablets that were all defective is pretty bad. I just bought another 4 Nexus 7 16gb tablets in bulk. Going to start testing today. Let's see if I finally get a good one. This is my last hoorah. If I can't get it good one this time I will be looking for another brand. I love the tablet, it's fast, apps are great, and it performs well, but the high percentage of defective tablets is simply staggering.

i've only had mine two days, but no manufacturer defect or busted pixels. everything had been solid. well-built and issue free

Mine has some screen separation on the left side. It was bought from office Max yesterday. Trying to find a store with some in stock to exchange.

I got mine on Friday, I pre-ordered it from gamestop and I was so scared after reading all those defective tablets with screen separations, I was nervous so before paying for the tablet I asked the cashier or rep to please open box in front of me and we looked at the New tablet together and I was surprised there was no defects.I did take out a one year warranty just in case. The rep told me they don't repair them through gamestop they just give us a brand new one of something happens to it with there warranty. So I am good to go and loving this tablet. I put away my ipad, my transformer tablet. It's just great.:)

It's going to be fine for most people. But if you really pay attention to detail you will find some light bleeding on the screen. I can probably find light bleeding on every tablet in this thread. Just need to put it at 100% brightness in a pitch black room, using screen tester app and put it on black, and I'm positive there will be at least a hint of light bleeding. If it's just a hint of light bleed in that extreme test it's fine. But if your getting the flickering screen when you get low wifi at 30% brightness I'd return it.

Mine was in perfect condition. I do notice sometimes that I can slightly push the left side in a little,(The "Glass separation" issue) and the other side peaks out a bit. I can only do it when I've been using it for a few hours. But it doesn't affect me at all, I don't know why so many people whined about it so much. Its not even a 1mm difference tbh.

How much did the one year warranty cost at gamestop?

I have had three with the screen lift problem. 1st one from Sears, 2nd one from Radio Shack, didn't even turn it on to see if there were any other issues so they basically are doing a return and I placed another order while on the phone with the csr doing the rma.

While out today, stopped by walmart because they were showing stock and bought one. Took it back an hour, didn't bother turning that on either.

If the replacement from RS is bad, I think I'm done for a while. I'll see what's coming out later this year and even look at the iPad mini if that thing is real.

No problems after two weeks on first N7 (now wife's). Second N7 was fine for two days and then began starting up with milky-white screen when turning unit on. After 5-10 minutes screen becomes normal.

Within five minutes after calling Google, had talked with a rep and got an email with details on them shipping a replacement. Great service!

Mine is in good condition. No screen lift. The color of screen kind of looks a little dull but I don't know if it is supposed to be like that. It doesn't bother me really. Just curious. Other than that curiosity everything is good here. Love the tablet.

thought mine was in good condition. Noticed today a row of dead pixels on black screen and a lot of light bleed. Never noticed I guess because I hadn't used many dark screens. Sigh. Exchanging tomorrow

They all have light bleed. Some are just more noticeable than others. I've gone through 10 Google nexus tablets and all have had a little light bleed. Some were bad, some were not too bad.

Mine is pretty bad. Boyfriends is next to non existent

Yah, I'd say just hold on to the next to non existent ones! Unfortunately my next to non existent one had the screen flicker.

There are just too many bad apples out there right now. I'm going to wait a month. Might just end up waiting for the Acer A110 as well. Has the Tegra 3, hdmi out, and sd card slot.

Really liked the google though, but the lack of Quality control is too apparent.
