What took me so long?

Just rooted to DAS BAMF Cubed and I finally love my phone. Running Sense 3.0 with Gingerbread, voicemail notifications working, super fast, and the 3D lock screens are gorgeous. I was 3 seconds away from tossing this phone after the OTA Gingerbread made it impossible to open my contact list. This also debloated so I dont have to worry about all those useless Verizon apps I never use....(GOODBYE BLOCKBUSTER). I never rooted before so going step by step took some time but after the initial root I found it fairly easy to load another ROM. Still working out my own questions like how to load a patch or a different radio but I am extremely happy. Rooting may not be the answer for everyone but it made me love a phone that I have not been to happy with for a while.

Bleh. I can't stand the stupid Sense 3.x carousel. I can't believe there's no option to turn it off.

BUT NO PROBLEM, I'll just run Gingeritis 1.3 (Sense 2.1) :D

Yes, rooting is the way to go. And this is coming from a guy who never jailbroke his iPhone in the 2 years he had it.
