Whitestone Dome for the Ultra has Blue Light Cut ?

Things are not looking good for the factory installed screen protector like the S20 Ultra had. :-\

AT&T = Plastic shipping film with FPS cutout
Unlocked = Plastic Shipping film with FPS cutout
Verizon = ?
T-Mobile = Plastic Shipping film with FPS cutout
Sprint = ?

I’m gonna day it again. I bet there is the factory installed protector underneath the plastic film with the FPS cutout. I’m really surprised Note 10+ owners don’t remember that is how it came last year.

It's not there.

This is someone else's picture of the US AT&T Ultra.

I saw that but that is how my 10+ came with the protector underneath. But someone posted closeups on the other thread which seems to confirm there is none. It just makes no sense for them to do it but then again, a lot of things aren’t making sense across the different regions.

Got this whole package in the mail and when I opened it up it gave me serious anxiety. Is it that complicated to install ??? So many little parts and pieces. Good lord !!!

My Whitestone Dome kit for my Note 20 Ultra will be here today. I looked on their website and didn't see anything mentioned about Blue Light Filter on the screen protector I ordered. I guess we'll see. If it has this, I will be returning it and seeing if I can get a clear one. I don't like the blue light filter and never use it, so having it without a choice is not a good thing. :(

Also, here is an installation note for those using Whitestone Dome on their displays (not only the Note 20):

My brother runs a small business and one of the things he does is phone repair and whatnot. If you look here on the web for threads about the Whitestone Dome screen protectors on devices with Curved Screens (and even flat screens), you will see many complaints about the adhesive cracking and looking like crap after a while if you install using their instructions.

You can get different UV and Non-UV glues to try and keep this from happening. My brother, after installing literally HUNDREDS of these things, here are some tips he has.

Right now, in his household, he has 4 Note 9's and a Note 10+ and waiting for his Note 20 Ultra.

Using the stock glue, he did the following, and after years of use, still has no issues with cracking Glue.

1. Follow the instructions to install the screen protector. Making sure to do the following:

a. Install the screen protector in the jig they provide.
b. Use the provided UV light for 15-30 seconds on top and bottom
c. Remove the device and use the supplied pads to wipe off excess glue

This is the important part:

Use the provided UV light and put it on the top and bottom for 20 minutes at least! This will FULLY cure the glue and ensure there will be no separation and cracking after use. If you live in a sunny area and can do this, turn the device OFF and let it sit in the sun for a few minutes (length should depend on where you live. I live in a desert area and leaving it out for more than a few minutes might melt the damn thing!!) to get even more curing with natural UV light.

Compared to my original installation on my Note 9 and 10+, following their supplied directions, I got cracking and it was ugly. Since I did the above with my Note 10+ as my brother suggested, I have not had one bit of cracking on the glue and it looks pristine!

Hope this helps!

The blue light filter has always been apart of the product since note 8.

SUCCESS! But I would legit pay good money to have someone do that for me. Some of the most frustrating 45 minutes of my life. I could tell y'all the whole story, but then y'all would call me names. I assure you - nothing I didn't call myself. 😁🙄

Clean install though. I'll boot her up and set up fingerprints n all that jazz tonight. I need to come down off the install. 😩

Nice, definitely not looking forward to this myself. Nothing I hate worst then dealing with the WSD install.

You need a hug and a drink -

Also, I took the Samsung protector off the N10+ and compared the feel of the screen of the N20U with the Dome. I'm positive I would not know the difference if blind folded.

I am debating on installing the screen protector before I even boot it up. I can't remember if I did it that way with my N10+. Not sure if it would cause any issues??
