Whitestone Dome for the Ultra has Blue Light Cut ?

Whitestone Dome is currently running a special. If you order the screen protector AND the camera protector, the camera protector is free. Just a heads up for those who haven't ordered already.

I just got notification that my order will be here on Tuesday. Now I just hope it's in perfect condition.

I'm ready to remove the WSD glass because of the smearing and fingerprints. I simply can't clean it of the smearing, let alone keep it clean. I'm using alcohol wipes, lint free paper towels, microcloths, it doesn't matter. When I use the spen, all of my writing shows up in the fingerprints when the display is off. I don't remember ever having this problem before.

Did you remove your WSD Glass? Come off easy without cracking or damaging the phones screen?
I'm getting ready to rip mine off.

I took mine off with no cracking screen or protector. Had a corner lifting and just slowly pulled all the way around until it was off.

I have blue light filtering on my prescription glasses. I think its the best thing I've ever done. Coming from someone that has been around intense blue like for just 3 years let me tell you... you don't even want anymore blue light. Period. Incredibly damaging to the eye and the bad part is that it could take years to show up, it's non reversible and leads to blindness.

I've saw they said that "We are pleased to inform you that Blue light filter doesn't bother your screen color or anything else. Despite the addition of this feature, there is no difference from the previous product. We hope you try to use our product as usual ! " after then, I bought mine and It's just same as regular glass There is no difference color or anything I'd love to recommend you to use it !

My Whitestone Dome kit for my Note 20 Ultra will be here today. I looked on their website and didn't see anything mentioned about Blue Light Filter on the screen protector I ordered. I guess we'll see. If it has this, I will be returning it and seeing if I can get a clear one. I don't like the blue light filter and never use it, so having it without a choice is not a good thing. :(

Also, here is an installation note for those using Whitestone Dome on their displays (not only the Note 20):

My brother runs a small business and one of the things he does is phone repair and whatnot. If you look here on the web for threads about the Whitestone Dome screen protectors on devices with Curved Screens (and even flat screens), you will see many complaints about the adhesive cracking and looking like crap after a while if you install using their instructions.

You can get different UV and Non-UV glues to try and keep this from happening. My brother, after installing literally HUNDREDS of these things, here are some tips he has.

Right now, in his household, he has 4 Note 9's and a Note 10+ and waiting for his Note 20 Ultra.

Using the stock glue, he did the following, and after years of use, still has no issues with cracking Glue.

1. Follow the instructions to install the screen protector. Making sure to do the following:

a. Install the screen protector in the jig they provide.
b. Use the provided UV light for 15-30 seconds on top and bottom
c. Remove the device and use the supplied pads to wipe off excess glue

This is the important part:

Use the provided UV light and put it on the top and bottom for 20 minutes at least! This will FULLY cure the glue and ensure there will be no separation and cracking after use. If you live in a sunny area and can do this, turn the device OFF and let it sit in the sun for a few minutes (length should depend on where you live. I live in a desert area and leaving it out for more than a few minutes might melt the damn thing!!) to get even more curing with natural UV light.

Compared to my original installation on my Note 9 and 10+, following their supplied directions, I got cracking and it was ugly. Since I did the above with my Note 10+ as my brother suggested, I have not had one bit of cracking on the glue and it looks pristine!

Hope this helps!

It does help.

I've always gone overkill on the 2nd curing as I use a case and so wanted the curing to be done as well as possible so I cure way more than suggested in the instructions.

I'm going to try and reinstall it better. I was having issues with FPS.

Me too.

A couple of tips I picked up when setting up the finger prints are.

When setting up take x3 scans with each thumb and then rotate the phone around when taking further prints of each thumb so your phone can read both thumbs from the same finger print scan. Scan your prints as you would normally hold the phone.

Also using two fingers when setting up one fingerprint works pretty well.

Go into Settings . Biometrics and Security. Biometrics Preferences . Turn Off Screen Transition Effect.

Then go into Settings and search for Optomise Battery Usage. Tap in Optimise Battey Usage tap to show All and scroll down to com.samsung.android.biom and toggle Off

For me this improved the fps on my N10+ 5G and N20 Ultra.

I also have dry skin on my fingers and so find it sometimes beneficial to moisten my fingertip before unlocking the phone. Gross sounding but it is what it is.

I saw a Jimmy is Promo video and did all those tips after I removed the screen protector. Works great now. When I get a chance I'll reinstall it and see if I still have good results.

Reinstalled mine yesterday and everything was perfect except this one little spot near the edge. I think I pulled a little glue out wiping with the alcohol wipes.

Will this spot get worst over time? Can this be fixed by adding a little bit of the LOCA glue to the edge?

I just installed mine. Geez that gives me a lot of anxiety! But it came out absolutely perfect and my fps works every time! I was VERY hesitant to try it because the fps just did not work well at all on my S10+ with WSD. So happy with this though. Seems to fit well with my ESR Echo clear tempered glass case. I put the WS camera protector on too.

I would definitely screw it up congrats on your perfect install.

My S20 Ultra install looks bad at the very top. I've thought about ripping it off and but just figured I'd wait until it got some scratches in it. My Note 20 Ultra came out almost perfect except few a clue tiny bubbles.

I would pour a some LOCA on a piece of paper, then, using the corner of a piece of paper or needle, dab it in the glue, tap that little area, and cure with the UV light.

I watch the video on their website one time through before I start and then I play and pause while I'm doing it. Make sure you have all the pieces spread out on the table before you begin. There are a lot of pieces. THE most important part, and I cannot stress this enough, before you start, check your table with a level! If it is off even a little the glue will move on its own and it will be ruined.

Just fixed it and now it's perfect, worked fantastic.

This video was also very helpful.
