Who is getting a 32 gb card for their Evo3d and which one?

I've been running the Lexar class 10 32gb card in mine for two weeks and have had no problems with it.

Hi guys, first post here. I'll be the guinea pig for this one lol. Just ordered an off brand class 10 32GB card off eBay, shipped free from China for $13.68 (link here).

I'm already in the process of getting a refund from eBay on a card that I bought last week (Kingston), eBay removed the listing a day after I bought it, and advised me to file a claim. Thing is, this one I've just ordered comes from a Seller with good feedback, advertised as from China (the other was listed as shipped from USA). I am in no particular hurry (had the Evo 4G 3D since the 24th), and it should be here in a couple of weeks.

I am very comfortable with eBay as I've got lots of experience there. We all know these cards only actually cost pennies to produce, so it's not so absurd to expect a genuine, decent working card for this price from China. If it's not as described, I am confident in eBay's buyer protection plan (I've used it in a couple of cases where items didn't show up or were not as advertised). And worst case scenario, I'm out 14 bucks (wasted more on a lot less than a 32GB card!).

I'll let y'all know how it works out (typically the stuff from China I've bought has gotten here way faster than advertised).

lol, usually the off brand ones from Asia on ebay state the transfer speeds even though it says class 10 it's usually at a class 2 speeds sometimes if you're lucky class 4. Especially for $13.68

I got my class 10 32gb PNY but cost $64 after shipping, but consistent 10 MB/s speeds.

I doubt it is real, most likely a 2gb card. It's easy for them to get good feedback by selling small things like stickers or cheap bracelets

Well, one update so far, eBay refunded the other one I bought. Escalated the case today and they did an immediate refund.

Now onto the one I just bought that y'all are saying is too cheap (and you could very well be right). How do I verify it as a class 10 or a class 2 once I get it? Give me some specifics and I'll check it as soon as it arrives and post the results here.

ETA: I know how to verify the 32GB, but how do I verify the class 10 vs. class 2?

See my thoughts are this. Does it really cost that much more to make a class 10 than it does a class 2? I highly doubt it. Still think these things ultimately cost pennies to produce. I suspect a real one COULD be sold at this price, whether this one is or not is another matter entirely.

Oops... sorry guys, looks like another Scammer got to eBay. I just clicked on the link I placed in my original post, only to see the item had been removed. This time, eBay didn't notify me, but it does appear they've removed this listing too. Just opened a case on it, expect I'll get a refund from eBay in 7 days as I did on the other. Still on the lookout for a bargain basement priced 32GB class 10, and still wanting to know how to verifiy it is indeed a class 10 once I have it in my hands!

If anyone has ordered from the link I posted, I suggest you also file a claim with eBay. Let me know if you need help doing that, it is very easy, just a few mouse clicks in the right places.

class number is the minimum specification of speed... so class 2 has to be at least 2 MB/s transfer rate, so class 10 at least 10 MB/s but that's the minimum rated speed, so not all class 10 are the same, some are a lot faster than others.

As been posted before higher speeds on SD card are pointless with Android. The only time the high speed transfer will b noticed is on your computer when your transferring stuff over.

So far it's been working good. 10MBps write & 20MBps read.

I did exactly the same thing, plus a second card in my wife's EVO 4G. One week in and no problems so far. Newegg got the same card back in stock today in case anyone wants to go that route.

I have the EVO 3d & looking for a 32g class 10 sdhc micro men card. One site dealing with "flash" cards told me 32g class 10 MICRO cards were not on the market yet. I understand a class 10 card really speeds up the gallery dnld. Anyway I saw the card that "liquidjesus"referred to & wondered if it would work. Is it doing the job??? When a card says "flash" along with sdhc micro will it work? What exactly makes a "flash" card different? I'm really anxious to buy a card but it's getting too confusing. Why the big $ differences? If your card does the job, "liquidjesus", then I guess that's my only choice. Sandisk only has up to class 4 for a 32g sdhc micro, according to them. HELP!!!!! Thanks

Are these MICRO cards? A rep at 'flash memory.com' told me that 32gb, class 10 MICRO memory cards were NOT on the market yet. I do see "flash" but that's not the same critter, is it? PLEASE, where are you people finding these cards? To be clear: sdhc MiCRO memory cards, 32gb, class 10, right? Even SANDISK told me class 4 is the highest sdhc micro memory card they make. I have been looking for this memory card for my EVO 3d for about 2 weeks with no luck. Just got off FRYS online; NOTHING!!!!

I lookedall overtheinternet for class 10 cards (as i think data transfer is crucial) and samsung has one in the works but i cant find it anywhere yet... i ordered a memorette 32Gb class 10 for only 38.50 shipped to my door. read only good reviews. time will tell its due to arrive on tuesday. as SOON as that samsung one is for sale im getting it, its specs are 12mb write 24mb read MINImum....

Personally, I stay away from wintec. I am currently using the PNY 32GB microSDHC - picked it up from the local frys store. I also have an order in at TigerDirect for a Lexar 32GB class 10 for about the same price (it is out of stock for now).

Regarding Sandisk, I believe that is true - they do not make a class 10 32GB microSDHC yet.

BTW, frys has the PNY 32GB class 10 - http://www.frys.com/product/6671614?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG The price online is about $10 higher than what I paid for it in store a week or so ago.

San Disk always and forever! I have a San Disk Class 6 SDHC for my DSLR and its way faster then my Class 10 Transcend card.

Ya it's me again! I have some questions maybe you all can help me with, being a nubi. I have an EVO 3d.
1) I called HTC for info. About class 10 cards the rep said the phone is rated for class 2 or 4 & used phrases like "anything faster is questionable" & "we won't guarantee", whatever that means. Maybe a 6 is better?

2) when I see cards that say 32g (what I want) class 10 sdhc micro "FLASH" mem card the word "flash" confuses me. Does flash make the card different? Would it still be comparable with my EVO 3d?
3) is there a way to transfer data between cards without a computer? I don't own or have access to one
4) can I use multiple cards for different purposes? Say 1 for music, 1 for movies, & 1 for "adult" content, etc? Do I just switch out cards for whatever I'm wanting to dnld BEFORE downloading?

I have been searching the internet for answers but my particular questions are never addressed. Be glad when i know what I'm doing, order the dang things, & move on to other stuff.

Well I can answer the speed one htc is correct anything above class6 Android os doesn't recognize. You can run a class 10not going to hurt. Also you can swap cards if u want but these cards are small and easily can be lost.
