Who is waiting for the S26 Ultra?

Well I'm coming from an S24U and I didn't feel like going to the 25U was worth it. I want to upgrade while trade-in is still decent. Hopefully it's a pretty good deal and they usually give you the 512 for the 256 price and I get a healthcare discount. I charge every morning also and battery isn't big deal but 60W charging would be nice if it really happens if not I have 45 watt chargers. I watch different videos every day so we will see what the real specs end up being.

Now today I saw a video of new colors but I doubt it's real but their was a red green and a purple. But they say Ice Universe on X is usually right and it will probably be the normal colors they've been talking about Black White and maybe a silver I forget now.

I'm still using the 24U that I got last year and still paying on it. It will take something special for me to get the 26U. If all fails I'll keep this until the 27U or next year skip the 25 and get the 26 when my payments get closer to being paid off.

I have been reading that they are not making an Edge now for the 26 cause the 25 one didn't sell well. So now It's 3 phones a plus pro and an the ultra maybe. Was their going to be four originally I don't remember? But I read yesterday that since their changing they have to re-do the other 2 models and now their will be a delay and the 26 lineup won't be out till March. One article said the Ultra's are already being produced and it will still be January but than at end of the article it states the whole 26 line up in March so I don't know. I get a bonus at work in December and was looking forward to getting it in January. But I have a perfectly good 24U so I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Read the same but one article said that info on the delay is "thin." However, it does appear those skinny phones are not the best ideal; since I read this AM that Apple has cut back production of their "Air," due to bad sales.
For me, since I am at least sticking with Samsung phones, I'll jump on the ultra as soon as released.

Apple first slim phone is a fail but they will learn from it .

I have been a new every year buyer until the S25. Like philthedrill said in his opening post, there just isn't enough new or enough upgrade to justify the upgrade. Then to add to that, they took BT from the S-Pen, and that was the deal breaker for me. Similar specs, downgraded spen. Rumors are they are bringing back BT and if they do I will probably get the S26. I ran over my S24U and destroyed the back glass and haven't gotten it fixed yet not wanting to remove the back glass to preserve the IP rating. I'll get it fixed to make the exchange if I need to.

Yeah my husband could care less he would keep the 24U. I am the one that watches all the videos reads all the articles comes here LOL! We had the 21U and I was waiting for the 23 didn't even reserve or look into pre-orders for the 22 and a couple months after they had a deal 1000 trade in for 21 to 22 guess they didn't sell enough who knows. I told my husband lets just do it when the 23 comes out we will get more and we did pay a little after trade in. We always buy outright. But then the 24U came out and I had to have it. Now I am wondering what the trade in will be for the 26U from the 24U. I am sure it will be a couple hundred more for having the 25U. But yeah the 25 didn't interest me at all neither

I really hope they bring back BT in the pen and I am looking forward to the Qi2 charging. I read 15W is standard now but the new Qi2.2 or something like that does 25W. The screen seems cool with the privacy and some new something COE I think I read and with a higher brightness. Battery is OK for me if it stays the same but I did read 52 or 5300 somewhere but most say the same 5000 with 60 wired and that the processor and something else will make it more effecient to last longer. I don't really know what this is but I read using M14 OLED over M13 is good with the higher NIT brightness.

I did end up buying this OtterBox dual 60 W charger they said it does 60 on either port and if using both which I won't probably do 30 and 30. It was on sale at Woot I got us each one two for 23.99 and on Otterbox they are 59.95. I guess I use my same 100W cable I use for my 45 one cause it will say fast charging 2.0 but when I tired the same cable with the new 60 W it didn't say 2.0 just fast charging but maybe cause it was a 60 and our phone only does 45. I keep reading different things but the last I read the 26 will do 60 wired so we will see. I really wish they would just come out with the 26U as planned and then just hold back on the other two. I don't want to wait till March. Sorry I tend to ramble I made 2 posts.

Every day I read or watch a video and it's different. Today 2 videos said 54 and 5500 battery which I don't believe another was back to 45W charging no 60. It keeps changing. I did see it said better cameras but who knows. I still don't like any color but that's the least of my worries I'll have a case on it.

It's not just the S25U. It's been bad since after the S23U.
This will be the third year explaining this. m0rē MEGApixels cannot replace an optical lens. FULLSTOP. You will never get the same quality. If phones had balls, my S23U would use my S25U's as a boxing speedbag.

Next there's the main camera. There is inherently nothing wrong with the sensor. Samsungs focus this year was AI! All hail skynet. When the S25U takes pictures properly, they are generally to my eye better than the S23U but unfortunately that when is proportionally low as a point and shoot. Manual/RAW it wins but who really had time as an average person to take a lot of pictures and mess with everything either on the spot or editing on the computer later (let alone the knowhow for casuals).

They are falling into Google-land and relying on heavy processing except Google has mastered the processing process(double the word?). They are now hardware limited. We are have the hardware but are software and more likely firmware limited because I think the phone knows what it's trying to do but the sensor simply isn't calibrated correctly as I'm sure many have noticed with low light being purplish though it's gotten better.

I'm done with Samsung until they start getting innovative and creative again. They are complacent chugging alongside Google and Apple with the same thing year after year knowing there's a 1 in 3 chance someone will go Samsung.
