Who is waiting for the S26 Ultra?

Nope never here's my thoughts and true story.

Samsung is done there's way to much phones out now that will out perform any Samsung phone, OnePlus 13 is one another is OnePlus 15, another is Xiaomi 17 Pro Max , and i can keep going, So Samsung, Pixel and iPhone just can't compete with the phones i mentioned, my OnePlus 13 out performed my S25 and S24 Both Ultra lol , and I will be ordering the OnePlus 15 .

PS same phone look every year not and upgrade, I won't be that person that Samsung takes advantage of. Repeating the same look alike phone , Samsung is no longer and won't ever be King. Same old boring looking phone.
Better Hardware better software way better battery way better ultra super charge , IRblaster and so on , The USA phones Samsung, Pixel, iPhone need to get there heads outta of you know where lol
Those are some very broad strokes in the story you painted for us. Samsung is not finished or dead. The phones you mentioned are great phones and they deserve recognition. But still lack in distribution and inclusion. Some Chinese brands won't ever come to countries like the US for IP copying and would get sued. Why aren't these brands offered by the carriers in the US. If there was demand for them they would be offered for sure.

I have tried several of the phones you listed in the last few years. For me personally they just don't measure up to to Samsung or Apple.
They do some things well but fall short in the overall user experience for me anyway

Verizon can get very picky usually there are some bands for low long range areas that are not supported unfortunately , one phone that I was looking at was that Oppo x9 pro where it was not fully supported at last look. I think at the end of the day the support by Samsung Google and iPhone work best for many people in US and can still enjoy a phone. I love my OnePlus 13 which soon will upgrade to 15 but meanwhile can't stop using my Fold 7 haha

based on what I've seen, so far, my S24U (paid for) is looking pretty sweet.
I have to wait and see. Likewise, I have an S24 Ultra fully paid for. Unless there is something that is new to the S26 Ultra that isn't available on the S24 Ultra or my S24 Ultra has a catastrophic failure, there is a good chance I won't upgrade.

The s24u Samsung did it right, unless the s26u has major upgrades I would stay with s24u

I think they did it right with the S23U, that's why I didn't really feel the need to go S24U or S25 :)

But I am waiting for the S26U and if I can get a good trade on my S22U or S23U only because those phones are getting long in the tooth and trade in value will be less every year. If Samsung or a carrier will give $1000 for either of them in pre-order promotion I'll make the jump.

If no good deals I think I could be just as happy going back to the S23U for another year and wait for S27U. Right now I'm rocking the ZF7 giving it a fair shot as my daily but honestly it's not wowing me.

When you've had cameras from an Ultra and I have been using Ultras since the Note 10 I have found the ZF7 cameras disappointing and feel the cameras on my S23U two generations old is still better than the ZF7.

Of course I don't expect 50x ability and compare it that way to the 23U and honestly didn't expect it to be as good at 30x. But hoping it could be as good as a 2 gen old S23U at 10x and could be happy with the phone but its not. And the OS is wonky. Doesn't feel as fast as my S23 daily driven using same apps and the OS is not optimized lacking features you think they'd have 7 generations later like individual display settings for each screen. And 7 gen later developers also not optimizing apps when in large screen or basically tablet mode. And removing s-pen support was a mistake even at the cost of 1mm of thickness. I hardly ever used my s-pen on my 22 and 23 but could have been useful with the open screen even if it there was no silo to keep it thin. Rant off. I forgot for a moment this isn't the ZF7 section lol.

So, waiting to see what they will bring with the S26U and probably get it.

The s23u compared to the s24u and s25u were the latter used antireflective flat screens, camera wise I didn't see much difference between the 3

As for the Fold 7 it still takes excellent photos just not on par yet with the Ultra , but I didn't get the Fold 7 for its camera.

Yeah I didn't get the GF7 for the cameras either. But I was hoping the cameras would be... "half decent" to the S23U? I mean for $2000 I was hoping for something better to 10x. Only a 3x optical zoom? At least they didn't do an iPhone Air and cheapen out the camera too much.

But I'll save any further rant for the GF7 section. Good first entry into Fold. I'll hold on to it and see if they do a GF8 Ultra with better cameras, upgrade the IP rating and bring back the spen support even without silo. 😄

But def looking forward to seeing what the S26U will offer as well hopefully good pre-order deals. In the end I guess I am just an Ultra person. :p
