Why do people buy Samsung Galaxy Phones?

Couldn't be because Samsung makes good devices, and has the best accessory ecosystem of any Android OEM and actually updates their devices. Or the fact that their flagships get the most support. Nah, it can't be any of those reasons.

It could be, but you can't deny that Samsung spends a huge amount on advertising, more than any other handset maker in fact. We also know that Samsung Radios are poor reception compared to other radios on other handsets. I know that the S3 that I have has worse reception than my my iphone 5. Both are 2012 phones.

And yes I could do with a hug preferably off a strong female figure but that could have something to do with my mother leaving when I was young and looking for a replacement to try and kerb my passive aggressive behaviour which stemmed from being beaten by my single parent father who never listened to me hence my need to feel validated and why I get annoyed when people don't listen

Do you have a source for that? I had a Samsung Gem from 2011 and had good reception.

And you seem somewhat bewildered that anyone might be offended being called a stupid lazy sheep?
Chris, you can debate without being offensive. Debates are terrific when they are healthy and respectful.
You know the best thing I ever learned? I'm not always right and being ok with it.
I'm done, I hope you enjoy every future phone purchase and seriously, relax, other people will always buy something different than you did....the world ain't gonna end. I sincerely wish you the very best my friend.

No like I've said I don't care if people argue for or against my opinions and quite like a debate and will defend what I've said and if I'm out of line or have some how offended anyone stating them then fine I'll apologise but I'm just not comfortable being attacked personally by someone who has no idea who I am

Haha when you put it like that...but to be fair I wouldn't be bothered I only took offense at you trying to psychoanalyse me without knowing me I never said I'm always right and u can ask anyone who knows me I'll argue my point if I think I am but have no problem what so ever in apologising if I am proved wrong or have over stepped the line

Alot of people in this world are stupid little sheep though, try living in my town one goes bah and they all fallow F-ing sheeple and come on this goes on in the world of smartphones, people do become symbol minded lol

Brand loyalist that will fight a bloody battle to defend what is essentialy a material object.

And Samsung doesn't give a toss aslong as the majority are buying and lining their pockets with cash.

What is to be gained by defending a phone or anything material.

You defend yourself, your family but for me I won't succumb to defending material sorry but as much as I enjoy tech it's not logical.and nothing to be gained.

And it's all personal opinion and one doesn't supersede another unless you have cold hard facts to back it up.

And even then I refer back to its a phone.

Wow seriously you post this about any phone and the result will be the same.

People jumping in to defend a company that on a personal basis doesn't give a **** about you as a person but just wants your cash.

Actually, Apple apps crashed 2.4 percent of the time while 2.1 Android had a rating of 2.1 (Haha, funny) It was more stable though certainly not as smooth (Though much smoother than other Android phones due to the hardware acceleration in Touchwiz, Samsung was the first to use GPU acceleration)

I started Android use with the Dream/G1 and have used all OSes since including two of the US variants of the galaxy S (Vibrant and Captivate) and at the time, I'd have taken Android any day. Apple didn't even have a feature I found to be exceptional prior to Siri and even now, Siri is lagging behind both Cortana and Google Now.

You actually do think that android 2.1 was smoother and more stable than iPhone 4? You are delusional.

But what reason would you have to dislike or hate a company? That can be flipped around on Samsung hater too. Why give energy to hate a company that does not care about you or did anything personal to you?

I just couldn't, in any universe, care what someone else likes/dislikes...outside of my friends and family, that is. Whether or not someone not in that group would/could be a "sheep" is irrevocably irrelevant to me and not worth the thought of entertaining or analyzing. Whether or not someone likes/dislikes Samsung, Apple, or whatever is just inconsequential. It seems odd to me to care enough even to debate.

Nope. You may think so, but I do not dislike anything really. Don't need to waste energy to not like something.

I never said I like everything. Don't put words where there weren't any. I said I don't dislike anything. Which mean there is stuff I like and stuff I feel indifferent about.

Re: really why do people buy samsung galaxy phones

I think some people are taking things to extremes. I like to look at this more along the lines that Samsung makes decent phones, neither terrible nor outstanding, but also that their devices aren't good enough to explain the overwhelming lead they have in sales. That's mindshare created by brand marketing at work.
