Why people don't like the fact that Apple is using Android features in iOS 7

..so?

So your response doesn't make sense. Samsung and HTC make phones. The examples I gave had more to do with features that require hardware that supports it. What I was saying in other words is that most of what apple does is take something that has been around already and then implement it (albeit very well) into their devices.

Android, blackberry , windows phones and others don't do this? Every company does this no matter how u look at. Car manufacturers businesses any company does this.

Your response doesn't make much sense either, because everything you mentioned has to have a software base as well. Android wasn't the first to offer anything listed either.

A good example of this is some of the features Bluetooth 4.0 has, that android doesn't support. All of the devices out there have the hardware for it, but don't support it because android doesn't.

You're assuming that I was trying to say that android devices were the first to offer these features but I wasn't. I was only stating that Apple as a company claims to be so innovative yet many of the new features they roll out have already been available in other competing products. Yet they will try and make you believe they didn't exist before they offered it to you. Where are the features like air view and air gesture? These are cutting edge. So what if they are gimmicky ? Apple is too busy playing it safe to push the envelope. Just wait till apple introduces NFC. It will be REVOLUTIONARY.

A lot of you are bashing apple for the supposed borrowed features. How many of you actually did the research? How many of you even know which one came first? If you want to bash a smartphone then start bashing android. Android was a late comer to the scene. I'm sorry to say this but Apple iPhone was out for nearly a year before Android released it's first device. So, in essence, Android has taken apples features and made them gooy. Hmmm..........kind of reminds me of the windows versus mac fights. Mac was out first and windows comes along and takes a make and makes the UI gooy so we all can enjoy our pc. Same with Android and iPhone. Go ahead, argue this point. I did the research. I know what i'm talking about. Hard core Android users will argue this fact. It just makes me laugh at you all because some of the posts in which i have read are so ignorant to facts and some of you are so biased that you don't listen to facts, thus making your arguement invalid.

Ignorant to the facts? Lacking research? Ok let's see.

I posted about apple not being first with these features.

Touchscreen. Already had it on palm and windows mobile devices.

Third party apps. Same.

3G or LTE? If you don't already know apple didn't break new ground introducing a device with this you live under a rock. And apple still can't get it right on CDMA models.

Camera flash. Countless devices already had this before the 3GS iPhone

Video recording. Same.

A2DP. Had it on my Palm Centro. Took apple a couple years to catch up.

Video chat? Many phones were skyping before apple was facetiming. And apple only let you do that over WiFi.

Multitasking? WebOS had it in 2009. Apple is copying the card system in iOS7.

Your argument is invalid

I think his point was that just as people claim apple copies and steals android and every other OS does the same copying/stealing. Seems as though people think android invented everything and apple only steals from them which is getting old. All the OS's borrow designs/themes/applications/processes and put their own twist on it.

All Apple did first was to make a smartphone that was marketed to the general population.

Maybe the other thing was that it had the first desktop class browser on the phone. Looking at web normal pages and wap pages was an utter nightmare before that.

Not at all. Every single one of the things you mention was present on phones before android or the iPhone existed.

Wait, LTE existed in 2002?

You obviously didn't do your research, Android existed since 2003, not 2008.

If you are going to use the year the company was formed and not the year the OS was announced to the public (late 2007), then you might as well state also they had no intentions of going into mobile at the time.

They were going go after the camera market. The switch came a little later.

Funny how most of this is from people taking shots at Apple for being late to the party then the marketing kicks in about features that aren't new to another platform. Far as thinking Android or Apple inventing anything, outside of those two platforms a lot of people don't even know or care about what Blackberry, Windows or, WebOS has brought to the table.

Ignorance is not an excuse.

It's not an excuse but there's not much you can do when most people are only looking skin deep. The only reason I can debate sports for hours is because I can have fun with it even with ignorance filling the air. This on the other hand there's too much anger in just trying to find the one thing just to say "I was right."

This thread is discussing things apple is borrowing from android despite their lawsuits for patent infringement. My thoughts are, apple does really know how to implement something very well for the most part. They have a great product. All I'm saying is that I don't hardly ever see them breaking new ground.

Sort of but not really. The android of 2003 was a blackberry clone. (And using your logic, the iPhone has existed since the 90s when apple began R&D on it)

And what the rest of us are trying to open your eyes to is the fact that android does EXACTLY THE SAME THING. So the high and mighty attitude you're showing only speaks to how asinine the argument you're making really is.
