Wifi issue after software push

I have been having trouble with my wifi ever since the att/Sammy software update a few weeks ago. Before the update I could connect and keep a connection without issue. After the update it dropped wifi connection constantly!
After banging my head against the wall and almost removing the update I stumbled onto a fix.
It seems the update also turned on a "wifi power saver". The only way to get to it is as follows....

On the phone dialer type *#0011# then Menu > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi power save off.

Hope this helps anyone that may have been going crazy like I was!

Thank you!!! This has been driving me crazy for a couple of weeks-I was just about to give up and try factory reset. *#0011# How do you people find out these things?! My phone could roll around unlocked in my purse for 8 years and never come up with this stuff...BIG and many thanks to you!

is there a permanent fix for this, every time i reboot it goes back to Wi-Fi power save on?
