Augmented Reality

The reason i am looking foreward to my Evo is for the HDMI out connection with the right pair of display glasses you could be watching whatever media you want such as google goggles say a non-backed pair of glasses and you would have true augmented reality.

Also just for the purposes of watching Hulu or Netflix this will be Amazing.

As a Palm Pre owner, it hurts me to say this, but I'm most looking forward to the Android OS. Don't get me wrong-- I still think WebOS is the superior operating system, but how much does that matter when there are still so few apps available for it? Betamax was also superior to VHS, but the folks behind VHS had better marketing so they won. Okay, the old lady will step off her soapbox now.

I am anxious to get my hands the large screen and test out the front facing camera with Qik. I hope there is a Swype equivalent available to ease me into the software keyboard from my Palm Pre.

The EVOs space/time feature

My theory is that:

1.) If I tie the Sprint HTC EVO 4G to the top of my sub-compact...and..
2.) If said sub-compact can achieve a speed of 88 MPH (fingers-crossed)...and...
3.) If there is the precisely correct amount of Bombay sapphire Gin, Canadian Dry tonic, and Lime...

I might experience some really interesting times.

p.s. I have already attempted this with my toaster, blender, and nose-hair trimmers........ Nada...nothing...zip. Unless you count the general jeering and verbal harassment of onlookers. People can be so cruel.

I am so excited about this phone! I saw it, and instiantly fell in love. The windows mobile, WiMAX and Android OS! not to mention the amazingly beautiful screen, and the 8 mega pixel camera. Honestly, I am most excited about the ability to do 720p video. I have a 19 month old son and I love capturing spontaneous moments of him. With this phone (8 mega pixel camera + hd video) i know that the video I get today will last a lifetime.
