I have an S6, KIndle Fire HDX, and Acer Chromebook. All are sitting side-by-side about 3 feet from the wireless connection point (Xfinity). My Chrome book has 5 bars, my Kindle Fire has 5 bars, but the S6 has 2 bars. I can start a download on the S6 and the Kindle Fire at the same time and the Kindle Fire downloads much faster. Are there some settings that I should check to make sure the S6 is set up correctly? Is there a reason why it would not get as good a connection to the wireless?

Thanks, as always, for your help.

I would expect a chromebook or tablet to have better wifi receivers than a phone. IIRC, Amazon specifically touted the quality of the wifi receiver in the HDX when it was announced.

Too add to that, I've found wiping the cache partitioning and reflashing the device has been an easy fix to most problems, such as connection

Also bear in mind several devices close together can interfere with each other.
