ZooGue portfolio case for the xoom

Still loving the OEM case - Perhaps I'm in the minority but I would not want a BIG cut-out on the bottom of the case for the charger port. The cut-out on the Zoogue is B I G! I also can't stand cases that have the strap - I had one for my first gen Ipad and could not stand it.

I'm happy to see other case options coming to the market -- hope we see more and more!

I bet a lot of these cases would work, I just want a Xoom specific one for some reason.

Big fan of the shot laying down on the bed, I am in desperate need of that very setup otherwise I fall asleep on the couch. I have a perfect soft belly to place this thing, but i'm going to get arthritis the way I rig it up now.

I almost bought one of these today, until I saw ships in 2-3 weeks. Is that still holding true even though they've already started shipping?

They are selling fast so the factory is trying to keep up. The CEO posted that it should ship sooner, but has posted 2-3 weeks just to be safe.

I would be concerned about lint and crap getting caught in the velcro...anything I have with velcro on it eventually starts looking like crap because its impossible to clean the gunk out of it.

I think that case looks ugly. I am very happy with the official Motorola portfolio case.

Actually it doesn't look too bad and it has some pretty cool features. Still sticking to moto's though, it looks better, IMO.

Not really. I like the material it is made up and it definitely doesn't feel cheap to me. However, I am not crazy about the plastic section that covers the back section of the xoom (camera and speakers); that section I guess you can say looks cheap. Other than that everything fits and works just right. But, to be honest the zoogue looks like it is more functional and a better overall product. But since I got this case for about $17 I am very happy. I wouldn't complain if I got it for $40 either.

Oh for $17 I wouldn't complain either. For $40 I would be upset I didn't spend the extra $10 lol

You don't think Motorola's case feels cheap and poorly put together?

Not feeling cheap in any way. I find the OEM case to be built like a tank and very functional. Kind of like the OEM Ipad case.... I tried many different cases and always came back to the OEM.

To support tank comment see thread where someone ran over his xoom with OEM case.

I received my ZooGue case today. I had been using the OEM case before today. I am pretty confident the OEM case will be joining the I phone on the island of misfit toys. I am very impressd with the ZooGue case. I can say my search for a case has ended.

I just got my Zoogue case today too! I like the overall feel and construction, but I have to admit it is not perfect. I have a couple of small problems with the fit. Across the tip and bottom the border doesn't lay completely flat.

I'm not sure I like the strap. I would like to be able to take that off. The side flap that holds the cover closed could have had Velcro on both side's to keep it out of the way when the Cover is closed; although you can tuck it inside if you want.

Other than that, it appears to be very functional and I look forward to using it. At least it has cutouts for all of the necessary access points and doesn't require modifications to allow you to charger.

I just got my case yesterday. Very useable but not a perfect fit. The top and bottom are not flush right in the middle of the xoom which is kind of annoying. Maybe it will stretch out in time.

One thing I am unhappy about is the left and right sides of the xoom are covered and spill over unto the screen. Therefore, if you're using the quick launch controls in the stock browser, you can't access it very well.

It's useable for the time being until something better comes along.
