Rooted w No USB Data Connection

Hi, I've rooted my Thunderbolt and now the devices storage will not mount via USB. No adb more importantly. I seem to be stuck in a sort of rooted / not rooted limbo where nand security is S-ON but I can install all root applications (root explorer, super user etc....) but cannot flash roms and cannot backup current rom in rom manager. I can re-do some of the rooting process by using ADB wireless but each time I run psneuter it kills the connection (which will not restart on it's own and when I am able to get it restarted the next steps give permissions errors (can't do md5 check sums, can't dd misc.img). Totally bizarre. It's like I'm rooted but only for installation of applications and for nothing else and with no way of going back to unrooted or moving forward to a new rom. Scoured forums and haven't found a solution. Any help would be SUPER appreciated

I think you will have to root again from the beginning, s-on probably means your root-process never finished.
