Yeah true. That was a very convenient feature of the camera shortcut on the lock screen. I miss it as well, hopefully there comes an official version accommodating the shortcut as well

I would prefer though just to double tap the home button for camera but that will never happen. (on the lock screen anyway).

Do this though, make your screen lock just a swipe and set your camera shortcut in the grid, should come close to before as below:

Can you advise how you managed the successful reversion back to version 5.1 using Odin? Where can I get the firmware file that is reliable?
