Android Central Question

Just got a new car that supports Android Auto (2018 Accord). The manual indicates the USB cable is required to set it up, but doesn't mention having to use it once it's been set up. I was assuming it would use Bluetooth to communicate once it was set up, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Is a USB cable always needed for Android Auto??

For now - yes. Once Wireless Android Auto is out you won't, if you have a vehicle supporting that.
