Should I make a long initial charge?

I am waiting for my S7 Edge to arrive. I was wondering, should I make an initial 12 hour battery charge before first using the phone or it is fine start using it right away?

I usually start using the phone pretty much right away but it's probably a good idea to have it plugged in while its doing all the uploading of apps and related things usually the phones will arrive about 50% charged

Yeah, while you're doing your initial setup/transfer of data, have it plugged in because it will suck battery like a champ. Then, use what's left and then perform a full charge after depleting what's left.

It's fine to start using right away and charge whenever. I usually try to not go below 30-40%. Draining it all the way isn't a good thing to do.

No need for 12 hours.. It should charge up within 1 to 2 hours tops.
