1.13.604 Update -- Discuss Here (Read Post #1 First)

Instead of being a plain colored box that showed the temperature it now shows the weather. ie. last night it was storming and the box had lightning with a dark sky. This morning, it is showing a day sky with some clouds.

+1 on the update...showing clouds here and as I look out the window...dang!!! My DX is not controlling the weather!!!:p

The My Verizon widget, once I updated it, is pretty slick...

It's installing now....will comment after I've used it. From what everyone is saying after installation, there isn't much of a difference???

The active weather on the widget was the way it worked on my Eris...it was cool!

So far the battery seems more accurate but it's only been off the charger for about 3 hours now. One thing I can tell is the phone feels a lot snappier. I've kept all my settings the same and I can notice a difference. Web page scrolling feels quicker and pinch to zoom. Also, editing a text message by dragging your finger to a word, etc is much more fluid.

Someone mentioned a different charging indicator, but things still look the same on mine - green flashing battery with lightning bolt...anyone else notice a difference with their charging indicator?

mine always did that out of the box, so what is the difference?

Thanks for clarifying. I guess I forgot that there was no depiction of the weather in the widget before.

Hmmm...not sure. Mine was just a simple blue box with the temperature, but nothing else. With the update the widget now shows the "current" conditions.

Now the Weather Channel widget had what you described, but the accuweather one, at least for me, did not.

Another difference is that when you tap on the weather widget to go to the forecast the city isnt cutoff any more. Before the capital letter was pushed up against the top row so they cleaned that up a bit as well.

I just finished installing the update--I had to do a manual update since I did not receive any notification. The update downloaded over WiFi with no problem.

I haven't had any problems with WiFi or the battery indicator *before* the update, so I don't think I needed any fixes there. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing any new things I can find after the update.

Did my update , now I cannot access my home screen that has all the widgets . This is quite unfortunate. Anyone have any idea what i can do to resolve this? Thanks

To clarify, When i hit the home button it does nothing but a double tap brigns up the voice command window.

what a drag.

did a manual update, and it went smoothly. i was at 30% battery and after the update it jumped to 70%! very happy droid x owner now!

Got mine a half hour ago after getting the tweet. Thanx Android Central!

Now to see what changed......will report later.

Anyone else notice that the Home screen button no longer opens the App Drawer?

Also maybe its just my head messing with me, but my phone seems to "pause" every now and then when scrolling thru the app drawer and changing home screens.

I noticed this too. Also, your head isn't messing with you...my phone pauses a bit...especially when pressing the "back" button...
