2.2 working on Droid

yeah i was playing poker and got done looked at setcpu was at 118degrees :X never went over 95 before

one thing i have noticed ever since loading froyo was that "tempmonitor" doesn't give the cpu's temp. only the battery. if anybody else uses that app can you let me know if it is just me or if it has happened to everybody.

ps. i update the rom thread. got some themes in there for froyo. not many, like 3 i think but not bad none the less. im using blackmodzz theme by MrBobrowitz. looks nice

The current kernel doesn't. Have the module for CPU temp. I'm running the drop theme blue for Froyo nice

bizz after you themed it did your clear button for the notification bar disapear? for some reason after i installed blackmodzz theme it just vanished. i was sitting there scratching my head wondering where it went haha

Yes it did I think about to through the theme back on my phone. Oh yeah made the mistake of installing the wrong kernel. Boy what a headache. Phone didn't recognize the battery and wouldn't run for much longer than 2 min without rebooting

i dont think im going back to 2.1 haha. this thing is amazingly smooth and works almost flawlessly. the keyword is "almost" because i cant get google maps to install for whatever reason. im going to do some research and try to figure out why. anybody else experiencing this?

im really looking forward to jakes new kernels. my temps are currently on average 36-38 C but from using Jakes kernels in the past, i have a feeling i get them back down to the low 30's

If you ever ran Smoked Glass 6.0.1 you will recognize that the maps issue is the same. Their are two reasons this error is occuring. One is that maps is written to /system from when we flashed 2.2 and we don't have access to editing the original maps v4.2.0. And secondly we're trying to install v4.2.0 on top of an already present v4.2.0

So what you can do is follow the exact steps that you used with SG 6.0.1 or just wait till the next maps version is released. Unfortunately AdamZ and his Threads over at alldroid.org have been absent for quite some time. and i have no idea where to find those steps.

delete the included maps then try and download it again. or move maps to data app that should help
flashed frf57 doesnt have su app so no root

hey bizz what is this? who's rom is it because either alldroid is having server issues or it just blew up because i cant get there

their having some major issues. dont flash it now no su which sucks i would wait. its a newer version of what we have. but chrome to phone still doesnt work and no root. im trying to get it off of my phone as fast as i can
their is now an update zip to get root back im about to try and use that see if i can get root

I'm surprised they even posted FRF57 because the reason our good copy was released is because they renamed it FRFxx so not to be tracked back to the source. Is 57 what the N1 is running?

Why cant the world just be nice and let us have Chrome-to-phone and Desktop market control today?

no they havent all the pertinent stuff has been removed. i got root back

you can also get frf57 from mydroidworld pre rooted
and if you dont like p3s kernels and want to try something different try this

download the .32 kernels the .29 will mess you phone up

downloaded the correct one from code google uninstalled the old worked like a charm.
plus frf57 it works. now its time to see if a2sd does also

A2sd doesn't work may just be the. Kernel here is my quadrant score with the kernel and new rom first run

Back to p3 kernel other one did nothing but bootloop me at 1.2. Keep in mind I ran taz 1.3 kernel without issue

If you mean over the past few weeks. I've mostly been viewing Androidcentral.com through an RSS reader. but now that i'm free from my ridiculous semester i can get back into the forums.

I just saw that over at Droid-Life.com Kellex has Chrome-to-phone working on his droid. is it working in your FRF57? If so you wanna host it up on rapid share for me? or give me your source?
