3 Clicks, and I'm on 4.0.4

Thanks! I tried switching to 3g and it finally worked. It's a lot smoother than before. It's awesome!

Hey guys and girls

You have to keep trying it does work I try early this morning, it didn't work after 20 tries. I tried in the afternoon still didn't work. Then I read the post when someone said after 50 times in finally worked. I was thinking that maybe its a loop or the update may be going in a cycle. We have to catch up to the loop or cycle and it may work. Well I caught up to it and it finally worked, I just finish updating. So don't give up it does work and its worth the try. Trust me it works!!!! Good luck........

I can confirm this does work:cool:

I went from Team Bamf 1.25, to 4.0.1 (returning phone for swap, Absolutly terrible call muting, multiple times a day. I thought bamf (awsome ROM, with 4.0.4 leaked radios) was bad, but rolled back and phone was all but usable. will have to see. I booted the phone up this morning on 4.0.1, I was immediatly asked to upgrade (tried to force it using WAY old OS, but the only update I got was 4.0.2, hit the button 20 some times today, no luck.

I followed the directions, it did not work first time, followed the directions again, nothing. Third time was the charm. Sucessfully updated to 4.0.4 IMM76K 3.0.8-gda6252b kernel. Does anyone know if the hardware revision 10 is actually better? not trying to steal the thread.

No one has any real information about the revision. Some think it was experimental, but there's no real evidence of that.

Out of curiosity, is your device of Chinese or Korean make?

I've been locked on 4G with no switching since the update, although it's only been about 40 minutes (the longest I've gone without 3/4g switch). Auto rotate works waaaaay better. Things seem a lot smoother as well. Just wondering if anyone's noticed that the Icon for "Talk" has slightly changed?

Prior to the update, the icon was like a bubble. Now, it's a square, akin to the native message app. Not complaining but i did prefer the previous look...

Korea, 11.11, holding conversations is terrible, 3-4 callbacks on all important calls, Other party stops hearing me. absolutly worthless as phone (and no, I am not exaggerating) , but was a ton better than stock with 4.0.4 leaked radios and BAMF Paradigm, may go back after my phone is replaced. I do LOVE the device for data, no drops.

You do need to walk through the process each time.

After at least 30 times over the last two days, this worked for me.

Result: radio bars exactly the same from where I am sitting, but I know bars are not always accurate. Everything does seem snappier.

just worked in Maryland... had been checking fairly often the past few days so i don't think it's coincidence. maybe 5th or 6th cycle of clearing & checking.

After testing this update for about 20 minutes, I can confirm that this phone has almost zero lag. Its ios + wp7 smooth. There are little touches here and there such as the screen fading in when waking the device, the stock browser being super smooth(even faster than chrome), and the gallery being a heck of a lot smoother and having the same transition effect as the app drawer while switching through photos. That's all I have found so far. I love this phone and ics even more now.

Actually, and to my surprise, after the 5th time it worked - I can't believe it (in Vegas) 39.8 Megs and about five minutes to reboot. I am impressed, I thought it was hokey...

I've been trying it off and on since 7 this evening (now its 11:30). And it finally worked. I'm guessing I tried it a total of 15 times.

Sad but true, I think I said woo hoo when it popped up. Glad I stopped in tonight.

Just tried it as instructed and it worked on the first try. And I was on CDMA only since my LTE would constantly search for signal. Doesn't appear that 3G has any impact on whether the update will push.

Got it on the first try today that is :)

Actually I've been doing this 3 click method last week.
