.35 Gingerbread/ICS Kernal

Okay, first off let me say thank you to everyone that has worked on this phone. I mean everyone. Secondly i have been around the scene since 2007 on xda and i know things have been covered in this thread however considering that things are a little jumbled i have a few inquiries to make first if you all would be so kind as to oblige.
Keep in mind that i am referring to the P506 THRIVE WITH ONLY THE STOCK UPDATE THAT LG PROVIDED TO 2.2. MEANING I AM ON THE OLD BB.
I apologize for all caps but needed to make sure that was clear.
1. I am assuming raeynes combined kernel is the one to use to have everything working, correct?
2. What android version is CM7 that is installable for us and where can i find it? (I asked because i have seen conflicting information)
3. Does CM7 have the same video issues as CM9 or have thosebeen resolved in Cwm or resolved in both?
4. Coming from the stock lg 2.2 for the thrive what is the exact flashing process this includes flashing raeynes kernel in the process
5. What aos is Nighly4 and does the thrive have any issues besides the camera when using raeynes combined kernel?

Thank you for helping answer these questions as it is not my phone but my gf's. And im used to htc devices which are seemingly much more supported. Also she is on att. If that makes a diff.

Cannot edit for some reason but wanted to point out in question 3 i meant to say CM7 not cwm
And in the last question i meant when using nightlyfour with raeynes kernel does it hve any other issues besides camera not functioning. Not just raeynes kernel by itself sorry for confusion.

Yea ohh well i fixed the wifi issuse on my kernel and ready to go. Everything seems to work now. The data is a rom issue and works with the funny sim patch.

Did you plan on sharing this fully working version of the Kernel, Because I'm more than willing to test it out ;)

I doubt Joban would be on this site announcing that he got his Kernel fully working if he wasn't planning on releasing it to us at some point in time.... That would be cruel ;)

Well technically he can't release his kernel without also releasing his source code, and we all know what happened last time :/ but that's behind us now. Maybe he will reconsider, but that's none of our concern wether he does or not. All we have to do is wait and trust that drew is making the best kernel yet! :D

Are you stuck in emergency mode or does flashing the baseband just not work? I'm in the former situation but the solution for both might be the same. Try the following:
-Disable the LG Modem in the Device Manager, restart your pc if prompted
-Use the rear USB port on your pc instead of the front one.
-Use a desktop pc instead of a laptop
-Hold down volume up + back on your phone when you turn it on / plug it in, so it goes into Emergency Mode immediately. There's a difference between this and letting the LG logo appear for half a second first. [Err, this only applies to bricked - or rather, stuck in emergency mode - phones.]

Those are the tidbits I've gathered in my frantic scouring to revive my phone...

Sorry guys i had a brainfart! Flashing through lgmdp didnt work for me so i just flashed using kdz froyo. Anyways using CM9 works great except for the camera not working right and a few other bugs. Does ANYONE here have a rom working without the blackscreen bug?(Based from cm7)Thanks acmobiusone

Edit - Okay, i am a little confused? Obviously the blackscreen bug can be dealt with by using a live wallpaper and turning off screen off animation. But i thought that by finally getting a .35 kernel we would FINALLY be rid of the incoming call black screen. I have tried about 7 or 8 .35 roms with the stock kernel/old bb fix and funny sim patch and EVERY rom has the same issue. The only rom that doesn't is ICS rom beta 4.

Here lies the question. IS the blackscreen bug on lockscreen and on incoming calls a ROM issue or KERNEL issue? and how the hell do we fix it?

Also does the Optimus One suffer from this as well? Thanks again everyone.

I believe it is a kernel issue, I remember reading somewhere that the P500 had a similar issue and a kernel patch fixed it. I can't but sure but I think that is the case.

So guys, lupohirp released a new KANG build for testing, but sadly, it seems the stock kernel doesn't work for wifi anymore, so now back to square one :/ gonna go back to nightly's until the kernel is released.
