After I installed it, I opened the phone. It changed my home setup. I had to add back my calendar widget. The apps I had on my home screen are gone. I need to rearrange my phone the way I had it before. I never had to do this with any previous updates.

Just upgraded and rebooted. In my case it did not change home screen.

It even didn't disable Developer Options that I enabled when I got phone three days ago.

Well, I lied. It removed finger tip scanner spot from the home page that I set up yesterday. But this was the only change after upgrading.

Well, I feel silly. Finger tip scanner spot is not on the home page, it is shown when phone is locked. So, original statement is true - upgrade did not change my home page.

Yeah, I don't seem to have it on my unlocked S23U on T-Mobile despite the announcement in the Members app saying that the official release is for TMO only

Hmm not sure but i could be wrong, if your on official beta program and flash the stable with odin i think it will fail since your in beta program.
