OK boys & girls, there's a newer GB leak over at XDA. One, the unrooted version which has to be flshed with Odin or Hemidall. Or thanks to dmann, he uploaded a rooted deodexed version that can be flashed from recovery.

Look for the [2.3.6]SGH-I997 UCLB3 version.

Thanks for letting us know. Definitely seems like the Infuse dev team at Samsung is picking up their pace. Wonder how many more builds there will be until they find "the one" for that long-awaited official GB update.

Trying to flash it with Odin but the download file isnt reconized by odin, looking for a tar, md5, or smd

Seems alot smoother and faster.

wampa888 - There are two versions, one is the unedited leak and the other one dman made it so that it's flashable from recovery.

I just flashed UCLB3 leak and yea... there are some minor improvement over UCKL2 like touch responsiveness.

I should try this for few days before saying anything but I don't think there is whole alot difference.
Well, I had no noticeable problems on UCKL2 anyway :p. It's still great.

I have been playing with this new leak for 3 days now and its awsome... battery life is better fully charge since 2am and now its 10:18am pst 89% wow...and I have been on tapatalk since 2am... the thouch screen is more responsive and the gps locks within 5 seconds..wow thats fast.. app used to test gps are gps test and gps status from the market... Im still testing data transfer rate and tether... I'll be back later and post more..:D

For me, battery life sucks in UCLB3 leak. I slept for about 6 hours, and it went down from 80 to 64. WTH?
I have better battery life in UCKL2. 6 hours of sleep usually drains out only about 6~7% of battery life in UCKL2
For Both UCLB3 and UCKL2, ADW laucnher EX on and Widget locker on.

UCLB3 seems smoother and faster but I may have to go back to official GB UCKL2... until they release final one.

I actually tested battery life for both UCKL2 and UCLB3 on my own. Both on same condition, doing nothing on phone, just widgetlocker on and ADW launcher EX on

About 4% dropped in 2 hours for UCBL3. Then I re-flashed official UCKL2 and 0% dropped in 2 hours for UCKL2.

I mean they are both better than stock FROYO (which was living hell for battery life) but It's weird since some people are getting better battery life on UCLB3. Maybe It's just me and my phone, I don't know. I think I'm going to stay with UCKL2 for now. On UCKL2, I often went over 1 day after full charge and still had about 30%.

Your right in every sence... But some people have also a lot of crap running in the background thats one of the reason why battery readings are different, Gps for a good example... that only drops my battery 2% per hour.. :what:

Stock, I am finding this version adverage :)

but i do notice the lag in responsivnes and i noticed that the screen jiggles if you hold your finger on a page

Does anyone else noticed increased wifi sensitivity? I'm coming from stock uckh1 and my phone seems to find wifi signals in places where it didn't before. Wifi analyzer shows about 5-10 dBm improvement IIRC

Yeah, the wifi is definitely better. On stock Froyo (UCKH1), every time I'd walk into my house, the wifi would never catch on by itself. I'd have to toggle the wifi off and then on for it to get it. Now, it just does it automatically on UCLB3.

Okay, so did the original update that AC reported get pulled? I know their was issues but I can't find a straight answer. I want to my girlfriends stock Infuse from 2.2.1

Sent from my Samsung Captivate.

If by original, you mean the UCLB1 build via Kies, yes, it got pulled. Most likely because it wasn't intended to be the official update (Samsung nor AT&T ever stated it, it was by one AT&T representative at a support forum).

My guess is, that build was already known to have some issues. The fact that Samsung is leaking new builds shows that.

I'd recommend that you try the newest build. It got rid of some of issues on the one everyone thought was official. Google "UCLB3" and you'll find a post from XDA. One of the members kindly created a one-click flash via Heimdall. Very easy to do. I myself upgraded from stock Froyo to the newest build this way a few days ago.

This is an easy fix and it worked for me. Thanks for the lead! Gingerbread is now on my Infuse. So far no problems. A little different feel and hopefully more stable and better battery life. (of course now I want the Samsung Note!)
