Anyone giving up on LG and moving to Google Pixel XL?

Nope the Pixel XL just doesn't bring enough features to the table for the price in my opinion. I will take a look at future generations of Pixels but i'm rocking with LG and the V20 this time around. Coming from a Nexus 6.

Pixel is grossly overpriced for its features and its Apple-esque bezels alone are reason enough to dismiss it.

I won't give up on LG and the V20 unless I don't like it w/in the 14 day honeymoon.

What's the attraction? I don't get it.

It's all about convenience. With the Pixel, you can kick back in your recliner, with the phone in portrait, park a bag of Cheetos on the left bezel, a beer on the right bezel, and stream some football!

You nailed it. Google Assistant would probably go get Buffalo wings for you too.

Good catch! I forgot about wings! Seriously though, I think the Pixel will be a good performer. Slap an Otterbox Defender on it and enjoy.

This is my gameplan with the V20.

I'll hang on to it for about a week and a half and decide if it's worth keeping.

I know myself where in February or March of next year when Samsung announces the S8 I'll be kicking myself and itching for that instead ?

For now I'm looking forward to getting the V20 next week yay

Pixel. Meh. Besides the cool name, no sd slot, 5.5" display and an annoying navigation bar hogging 15% of the 5.5" display. At least LG built into firmware the ability to get rid of the nav bar in apps and UI, rather than having to root, or use an app that only partially works and uses battery life while active.

V20: Sd slot, replaceable battery, high end DACs (sure they drain more battery- but who cares?!)

Pixel FTL and V20 FTW!

I actually preferred the Nexus name....lol

If you don't like the V20, what will you jump to until February?

I was seriously considering the pixel....but I decided if I wanted a phone that looks just like an iPhone, I would buy an iPhone. I despise the look of the Pixel (those bezels kill me). Plus I find myself very hesitant to buy the 'first attempt' at a phone that Google has put forth. I figure the second or third versions will be much better...and for $800 I would rather let someone else be the guinea pig!

HAHAHHAH!!!! This is my point about the bezels summed up beautifully! I just don't get it, I thought the whole point is to get to where bezels don't exist and here is Google with their giant bezels. It just looks sloppy and too much like an iPhone for my liking.....

Wow, all the reviews are in today and saying its a home run. Google Pixel is even trending on twitter right now, lol I really have to play with one of these now.
