Anyone switching back to iPhone?

Different strokes for different folks. That's why it's just so great there's both iOS and Android...just the way it should be.

Well I agree with this. Though perhaps a better reply would have been Android can't do anything I'm interested in that the iPhone can't.

Re: Anyone switching back to Iphone?

I'm trying to get rid of my 5s for a note 3. I just like android more and plus I have big hands.

I was in your position last week. Now I have the note 3. It's an awesome phone. I hope you find someone to take the iPhone off your hands.

I'm kinda thinking of going the other way, more for the eco system, I just miss having iTunes sync with videos, TV shows and iMessage.

I love the Note 3 but I made my bed with Apple, so I think I'll have to lie in it.

I'm sure he won't have any trouble getting someone to take his iPhone.

Re: Anyone switching back to Iphone?

I had a 5 and 5s for a little while last year (after having numerous Android devices) and while the iOS app ecosystem is great, that 4-inch screen started to really bother me. I like to play hidden object games. My eyes used to get tired from trying to play that type of game on a 4-inch screen. I also watch a lot of YouTube videos. It's not pleasant to do that on a small screen. The Note 3 is an awesome device. In fact, I sold my 5s to get it.

...and I must be in the minority, because all of my family and most of my close friends all own android phones - mostly S3s and S4s. I have exactly two friends who have iPhones - that's it.

Now, with that being said, when the iPhone 6 is released AND if it has a bigger screen, I probably will get it - mainly, because I am a cellphone nerd.

As a near 50 year old let me tell you an iPhone screen doesn't cut it.

When my iPhone screen for too small I went out a purchased this device. Now my iPhone is just as good as my Note 3. I can't see any anyone would buy the Note any more.

Well I find the iPhone too small for watching stuff but you are right. iTunes has a lot more TV shows. You can get anything you want. That's why I still have my ipad mini and apple TV. I can Still watch all the TV shows I want.

Android and his app ecosystem are doing just fine. However, I still believe, from my experience that iOS leads in its app ecosystem and that her apps generally offer more polish. At least Android isn't flat out missing titles like the Windows Phone and Blackberry ecosystems. For example, this old dog loves Monopoly and only in the last few months has Android's version graphically met the iOS version, though functionally it's still slower on Android even on flagship phones. I'm still trying to pin down why my 4 year old prefers his old iPad to the LG G Pad 8.3 I handed down to him. He's 4 for jimony's sake.

That's not surprising. When it comes to things like teddy bears kids will bond with their first one no matter how old or threadbare. Same I'd think with tablets.

Coming from the 4s I have thought about it. I can always go back to my 4s if I wanted to because I still own it. I think everyone does think of going back especially when they don't use all the features of the phone. When I think about going back I just remember that I had a hatred for iTunes and the apple keyboard. The phones are very similar with the difference mainly being preferences and the s pen. At the end of the day I still feel my Note is best for me. Even on those weird days where I have to question it.

LMAO! That thing is almost as ridiculous as the iPhone!

If you have to ask why? then you are truly an iPhone candidate:)

Beside the S-Pen what does Android have that Iphone don't? I think I can deal with the crappy IOS interface if it mean I can have access to all the latest and greatest games. Entertainment on the go is extremely important for me and Netflix don't cut it

It's an iPhone. It was crap the day it came out and now it's just warmed over crap. It's like Flappy Birds. It's a crap game but so many are addicted to it. iPhone is what's wrong with the world.

The day has come. I was at my father in laws funeral, full military, 21 gun salute, the whole thing. Afterwords I was taking some pictures of our family at dinner with my note 3 and it utterly failed. Pictures came out like crap and the phone had so many focusing issues. While I can get good pics off the phone, it really has to be in a still environment where you have all day to get a pic. I about threw this Samsung into a wall! Lol.

The other day it rebooted on me in the middle of some work. Tired of this phone, tired of the size, and tired of the crap software.

Asked my wife for permission to get a 5s, and she said yes! That means my newborn daughter coming in April will have *great* pics on the fly! Can't wait to go to Verizon and pick up a 64gb smoke gray 5s!

Good luck. A lot of people can completely empathize with you, like me, while some just don't/won't/can't understand at all. However, there's more than just the camera and rumor has it that the S5 will have a great camera. I also hope you'll also be using a dedicated camera/DSLR for such important photos too.
