AT&T: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Uggh. Mine has been sitting at the DFW airport for 14 hours (supposed delivery in Minneapolis tomorrow). I have a bad feeling about this.
 
Upgraded my phone through AT&T this last Friday and that is coming FedEx overnight from Texas and did my wife's through BestBuy on the 27th and that one is also coming today UPS from Fargo.
 
Well, I guess I need to cancel my order. Over the last few days I have called them and chatted with them. They said my order is good to go but i received this...

I think I am going to cancel and order an unlocked one on Amazon.
 
I waited bitterly for almost a year now after they took my Note 7 away from me. I went back to my Note 4 which at that point felt like an ugly fossil after holding my Note 7, and today, my Note 8 is out for delivery. Early this morning I woke up to make sure we weren't under an evacuation due to a wildfire in my area, and while doing so I checked my tracking and my phone was in Louisville. Now it's left the facility that is 35 minutes from my house and says it will be delivered today. It's been a long wait.
 
I'm so frustrated. It's stuck in Albuquerque nm so far. There was a delay with the plane. I had plans to go pick it up before it left out for delivery.

I'm in Utah and had the same plane delay message. But it just departed SLC and is headed my way. It doesn't say out for delivery yet, but I'm guessing it will soon.
 
And allllll of this is why I'd rather go in on the official release date and grab a phone. It's too much stress and anxiety! My job gives me enough so I certainly don't need more from preorder debacles.

This isn't knocking you who do preorder. I realize some of u live in large metro areas where there is the risk of selling out if your store only receives 3 units. Then there are those of you who work sun up to sun down, or live in rural areas where your nearest store is an hour away.

Preorder offers a convenience, but its also anxiety inducing! I hope today and tomorrow are your days to get your new toy. It sucks seeing people play with a toy that you want so badly. Especially when you did the same thing they did - preorder!

So, I ordered a Midnight Black on the 29th and the order is still "In Progress". I ordered an Orchid Gray yesterday afternoon, and it's already shipped and I'll get it tomorrow. Limited stock on the Black perhaps?
 
Microfiber, Nice. I have that in a deeper green and yellow. don't ask why Green & Yellow (They were free and endlessly useful) Anything to keep my mind from thinking about my Note 8 on the Delivery truck..... :)

For those that have to order the samsung freebies, what receipt do you submit when you ordered online from AT&T? I am not sure what to send them.

I'm wondering the same thing. I don't have a receipt online or in email. Well there's somewhat of a receipt in email. But do they send one in the box?

If it's anything like the process for getting the free VR Gear that came with my S8+, you go into the shop Samsung app with your Samsung acct. then go to promotions and there should be a place to select your preferred gift and provide any requested validation of purchase. I think I had to upload a scan of the AT&T order receipt. then you should get a confirmation email and then status updates. (this is all Samsung, AT&T has no part in it)
