Best screen protector?

I only use bodyguardz!

I used a bodyguardz on my pre and the first day, installed one on my Evo. The first day, it almost looks cloudy, but after that, its clear and really protects. I also use a case. I got mine at BB, I think they call it the platinum and its really cool.

I just applied the XO skins protector. This thing is much better than the one best buy sells, forget the name. The one best buy sells I got for my wife and I like the way my phone looks versus hers. Mine shows minimal orange peel and practically looks as if it doesn't even have a protector on it.

I doubt folks will notice it. I notice it as I know I installed it. This product is very good. I fully recommend. Piece of cake to apply too.

Question about Screen Protectors

This may sound like a dumb/noob question, but what are the pros to having a screen protector on your phone other then it protects it from scratches? Do they help reduce smudges and fingerprints?

Her thing is that she is always having to clean the screen because makeup from her face will get on it and so she was hoping a screen protector would either reduce the amount that sticks to it or at the very least make it easier to clean. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am mainly looking at the Seidio Ultimate Screen Protector based off of a few reviews I have read here.

Cool thanks. Much appreciated. I was doing a Google search and a lot of people said that the "Crystal Clear" protectors actually leave more smudges then a naked screen anyways so I passed and just ordered some cases for the phone. I knew the screen was tough so the screen protector was mainly going to be used to prevent or minimize smudges.

Re: Question about Screen Protectors

I had the Seidio screen protector but got a boxwave for my girlfriends EVO and I prefer that one by a lot.

What about sun glare? I noticed that on the normal screen I can actually see it in the sun (not perfect but can see it). Will a screen protector make this better or worse?

most companies will make 2 types of protectors. One crystal clear variety and one anti fingerprint/glare. For example Seidio has a anti glare one coming out soon. Anti fingerprint = anti glare.

XO Skins is virtually undetectable. The first day...I could see it. After a full day into the 2nd...it's like it isn't there, 'cept for a few signs here and there but given the rate of it ironing itself out the first day until now...I figure by tomorrow or week's end...it'll be immaculate. It's very thing, extremely clear. I got it for $11 and change for a full skin and like it over the cover I got for my wife at BB.

I ordered Clarivue and just received them. Not real happy with the fit! The cutouts for the speaker, proximity sensors and front camera are fine but it doesn't cover all the way to the edge of the screen. There is about a 2mm gap between the screen protector and the edge of the screen on all sides. It is very visable.

Is this normal and is this how they all are?

my phantonskinz and zagg always fit like a glove

I put a Zagg invisibleshield on my Evo, so far it's great. I am cleaning the screen a lot less often, I hardly notice it's there.

I ended up just trashing the boxwave anti-glare that I bought, it was just cut too large for me to get it on properly. If I lined it up on the bottom it sat too high and covered the front camera and if I lined it up at the top I was always getting it too low on the bottom where it would hang off the screen and so not sit properly. If it had been cut a tad smaller it would have been better.

As it was, I messed with it for a good 45 minutes before it just got to smudgy and was getting too much dust and particles on the adhesive side that even if I got it on somewhat acceptably straight there was all kinds of crud under it that I'd have to lift it to remove anyway. Finally, balled it up and tossed it in the trash in frustration. I think I'll just go sans-screen protector for now.
