I'm going to take my chances. I ordered through BB to get the 150 and trade in my Note 5 at a Corporate Store. If I don't get the $480 trade in value, I have at least 14 days to take phone back to BB and then order through Verizon. The trade in promo goes through 10/04/17.

You can do it from the app, and I believe the web. I just did it from my laptop last year with the Note7

I've done a few SS promos in the past few years and if it's anything like those, you have to wait until you have the N8 because you'll be asked for the IMEI number and a few more things you'll find on the physical phone.

such fun trying to pre-order through BB. had to sign out and change browsers just to get it done. saved a bit over sprint and if Sam's or Costco offers a better deal then I'll go with them.

And like many others on the other thread, where do you see or get that? It doesn’t show on their site and I called them and they don’t have that. I personally think you are full of it.

Why would I lie? My payment is going to be 12.50/month when I trade my S7E in. Yes I'm on Verizon, I didn't think it was just for them though.

Just came from BB and honda-Dave is correct. You will get $150 instantly from BB when you purchase the phone. Then you have to go through Verizonwireless.Com and fill out the trade in info. You will ship your trade in to vz to get your $480 credit = $20/mo

Having a issue here no matter what carrier I choose my only option with BB is to upgrade or add a new line! Problem is I would be a new customer why won't it let me proceed pass this?
Example att it says current customer and I'm not?

My Best Buy says they can't preorder Unlocked Note 8s yet. Only carrier-locked new activations or upgrades thru AT&T, Verizon and one of the others.

Just makes me nervous best buy isn't advertising the trade in promo like they are the $150 promo. Why not advertise it if it's true, that would help with their sales.

Yep I'm the fence as well. I talked to an employee today who confirmed honda-Dave... But why wouldn't Bb do their own trade ins? Why do you buy phone from BB.. Then go trade it in at Verizon. Com?

Verizon Corp. requires you do that when you buy through a 3rd party authorized dealer, even Verizon stores that are not Corporate stores.

Verizon phones are not carrier locked. They are branded and have carrier apps pre-installed. The phones can be used on any network. I use my Verizon phone on different European networks.

Hmmm, they told me at Best Buy that I trade the phone in through them, and I get a 480 dollar bill credit to knock the phone down, and I will pay 12.50/mo. For 24 months. I need to go make sure thats what has to happen. Let me find that picture on BB website.

I forgot to ask, the VZW rep you spoke with, was that in BB or VZW corporate? If it was a rep from a corporate store, you might want to get it in writing so you're not screwed over later.

It was VZW chat, so I don't really have record of it.

I'm thinking that even if I don't get the VZW trade-in deal because I bought through best buy, I can still get $100-ish selling my Note 4 on ebay. So my $150 BB discount + $100 phone sale is about the same as what I'd get if I did the trade-in promo directly through VZW. So it's worth taking the chance in the hopes that I'll get both $150 and $240 trade in IMO.
