Just came from BB and honda-Dave is correct. You will get $150 instantly from BB when you purchase the phone. Then you have to go through Verizonwireless.Com and fill out the trade in info. You will ship your trade in to vz to get your $480 credit = $20/mo

Does $150 off this apply to pre-ordering unlocked phone too or only Verizon version?

Verizon phones are not carrier locked. They are branded and have carrier apps pre-installed. The phones can be used on any network. I use my Verizon phone on different European networks.

Really that is interesting. I know AT&T keeps them carrier locked unless you call and ask for them to unlock it. Didnt know verizon had them carrier unlocked straight out of the box.

Just got off the phone with my carrier - VZW. Had a super Rep who was sweet as hell, and brought me extremely good news about where I stood with the $462 I still owe on my S7 Edge, and how once turned back in I receive that payoff amount back PLUS more!!! I must admit they tell the story well, and you feel reborn hearing the good news about NOT having to lose money by paying your previous / current cell off!!!

During the call I pulled up the Best Buy Note 8 page, and in the lower left corner they show the VZW symbol and once opened explain the EXACT SAME DEAL I was told by the VZW Rep- of the $462 coming back to me! HOWEVER- they also give you that $150 is extras which I informed her about (Since I bought my Note 7, and S7 from Best Buy)

After reviewing the Best Buy ad, small print and all, my kind and cute sounding VZW Rep said "Well Gunny (yeah right-she used first name!) It sure sounds like they have a much better deal to offer you!"
Gotta give it to her for honesty, and not trying to BS me in anyway at all. She was even appreciative because she wasnt aware of the offer and said she can now educate other VZW clients of it as well. So coming from Verizon Wireless themselves - Best Buy downright offers a better deal on our soon to be Note 8s my fellow members!!

Yes this is AT Best Buy - it is the Verizon promo. When you pick up your Note 8 - and freebies (they give them to you then - you don't have to wait), you will get a mailer - to ship your "trade-in" to Verizon. When they receive it (or notification from the deliverer) they will credit your bill.

Ok, i just wanna pre order the note 8 in black on sprint and pay the phone off over 2 years. How do i do this and keep my plan? How is the $150 discount applied? I have credit union discount on sprint which gets activation fee waved, will best buy honor that? How much am i gonna have to shell out to pre order? With discount, what does the monthly payment to buy the phone get knocked down to? Can i do this online? Can i get the phone shipped to my house?

Sprint offers a lot of plan discounts I get 20%off for working for Macy's, also I know they offer a 10% for AAA members and a few more

the pricing on the installment is with the discount, just like on Sprint. Sprint no longer offers the installment, only a lease, so you end up paying more per month, but less overall.

link below - sorry, but it's an ugly link. right at the bottom of the image of the N8 is a button that says "Shop Galaxy Note8" and when you click it you go to the order page for whichever carrier. choose your carrier, lease or installment or full pay, options for color, then add to your basket and go through the checkout process. easy but a pain. lots of questions and they want your pin so be ready. you'll be asked for it twice because they check and then they check again when paying. they don't change your plan and you don't have to choose or change anything to get that. I did the process all the way through and my order says "plan unchanged".

if you get a weird "credit check" error when trying to pay and finalize your order, then sign out and use another browser or whatever. I did mine online for control and it worked well. I did get the credit check error and researched it. I logged out, closed all my browser sessions and picked a different one. you might be fine in the same one but need to clear it so I chose a different browser.

Pretty sure the freebies are after you receive the phone and sign up with Samsung and submit your proof of purchase. Like a rebate.

Just preordered and confirmed that you get freebies after with proof of purchase. Toyed with the note 8 in store and I'm smitten. Can't wait!

Yea that's why on the Samsung app it says to log in when you get the Note 8 to claim your gifts.

Ok, note 8 pre ordered. Had to pay $69 in taxes but with points promo through credit card knocked off $20. Shipping to my house. Keeping my plan and paying $33 for the next 24 monnths. Wish i could get $30 activation fee waved but can only get that with my credit union discount buying through sprint. Oh, well.

I did the pre-order at BB last year for the Note 7, They were fairly easy/helpful. I wound up canceling my PO and reordering on release day (ordered black and it was not available on day 1, they had silver in stock so I opted for that) They did not enough stock of the promotional gifts and mine had to be ordered. that said they were very helpful and understanding during the N7 fiasco. I got to beta test their return process...your mileage may vary from store to store.
