BestBuy: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I got a text from Bb saying that there were problems with my order. I called and they had to cancel the order. I'm trying again. While I would love to have the phone sooner thru vzw, at least at this point, I want the $12 a month payment a little more. We'll see how the day unfolds. My new order is preparing at this point.
 
Well, that manager can take it up with Best Buy Corporate, as they have also shipped their phones to customers. Don't trust CSR's or in-store reps to be much help. Here are the corporate contacts that might be of some help. If nothing else, perhaps they can let stores know that it is OK to start calling customers to get their phones.

So, I pre-ordered thru Best Buy as a Sprint user on Aug 24th at Midnight, and ever since my status has said "In Progress" and my payment method is still saying "Awaiting Authorization" Are there any Sprint BB pre-orders out there that have seen any movement? I have been getting rather discouraged after seeing all the Verizon, AT&T, and even T Mobile pre-orders already shipped and received. This is my first time to do this and probably the last. Been wanting to update my Note 4, which is a great phone, but getting old and slow.

UPDATE: this morning my account was FINALLY charged and my status just changed to "Preparing" so there's some movement going on and some hope for all you Sprint peeps!
 
I have a buddy who pre-ordered through Verizon, and he just got his in the mail about 15 minutes ago.
 
since all the phones going out seem to be Verizon's, is it just that the other carriers are not releasing? or Samsung hasn't released them (the other carriers) to release to us. all I was told was that mine hasn't been released, so waiting for Samsung/Sprint to do that. no other issues with my order. merely sitting.

I just got mine and I'm on AT&T. Pre-ordered the morning of 8/24 at 6am because of an issue with BB had with my BB card. I'm also happy to report that AT&T didn't replace the OEM box for the crappy Orange and Blue box!
 
UPS just dropped mine off (Verizon). No signature required... I opened the door when he pulled up so he handed it to me directly. I guess they would have just left it if no one answered, so just a heads up. The phone was shipped in a bubble envelope, not a box (which is fine, but figured I'd mention it).

I'm happy to have the phone early, but I don't have a case for it yet :(. I ordered one over the weekend when I saw there was movement from the carriers, but it won't be here till Friday. I'm afraid to take this thing out naked, so I think I'll stick with my S8+ for 2 more days, ugh.

On that note, those with Verizon, how am I to return the S8 back to Verizon? Will I get a box mailed to me? Do I just drop it off at a Verizon retail store? Do I have to return any accessories or just the phone? Thanks in advance!

Very upset. Was suppose to be delivered today, but now they have held my shipment do to the recent hurricane. Won't even let me pick the phone up saying they don't know when it will be pulled off the truck. This is frustrating 😭

You have to initiate the trade on their website. They will send you a box for it.

I have an Unlocked on order as well, have been in Preparing status since yesterday afternoon. When I called the 888 number it said my order is waiting to be picked up by the shipping carrier.
 
still waiting on the phone with BB to cancel (pre-ordered for pick up). Now the question is whether to order online through BB or Verizon for the quickest delivery?
 
Here is my theory on the BestBuy shipments. Mine is out for deliver, the point of origin is the town next to mine where our local Best Buy is located. I think the pre-orders where generally sent to the local store and shipped out locally by UPS. I think this because mine was not picked up by UPS and somewhat late last night and it is out for delivery today.
 
I just walked in to my BB and cancelled the order. Took about 30 seconds. Walked out to my car and ordered on VZW app with delivery for tomorrow. Paid $12 extra for tomorrow but there is free 2 day shipping.
