BestBuy: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

The conference call wasn't directly related to our issue, but the rep I spoke with was the manager on that call and he did make them aware of the issue and he felt like they were working on a fix.
So nothing was set in stone, also I don't know if it would be country wide or just my local store

UPS lost mine.

Was supposed to be here yesterday. It disappeared at my local UPS hub before being loaded on the truck for delivery. Wonder if someone at UPS stole it? The box is taped up with very obvious best buy packaging tape and it clearly looks like something expensive...

I actually ordered two. Black one for me. Orchid gray for my wife. Both preorders were placed online within seconds of the preorders going live. My missing black one apparently shipped from a best buy down the road. The grey one seems to have shipped from a different best buy elsewhere in the state. Both ended up at the local UPS hub early morning on the 6th. Only my wife's made it to delivery yesterday.

I've learned a lot about how awful UPS tracking can be the last couple days... "logical" versus "physical" scans, etc.

Best buy is trying to track it down with UPS supposedly. They also say they can't ship another one out until the 15th because it technically wasn't supposed to be delivered until then. Wonder if they'll even be in stock, and what that means to getting the freebies...

I ordered 3 unlocked on August 25th and just got a shipping notification today with a delivery date for tomorrow through UPS.

To update my saga, I canceled preorder pick up at the store (Verizon midnight black model) and then placed an online order for delivery around noon cst today. I just got notification that it shipped out. I am impressing anyone that is fed up to cancel their store pickup and go online. Seems to be working for a number of us. I should have mine in a couple of days.

I'm pretty sure it always says "while supplies last" in the fine print.

The fine print also says 250k of gift 1, the card and charger. And 150k of gift 2, the camera. That's the fine print on the Att preorder page. I'd assume it's the same across the board.

Cancelled at BB. Amazing that by cancelling I got more information than I did when trying to get my order resolved. The lady said she was from the back office, applogized and said they had several communication issues with Verizon and that they are having to manually correct each one which is taking a lot of time.
Ordered my Note8 from Verizon today with next day...says I should hopefully get it tomorrow night. Also got a nice trade in on my Note 4, so in the end I ended up a bit better off than going through Best Buy.

Just received the shipping notification from Best Buy. Pre-ordered online on 8/23. Unlocked black version.

I originally ordered 9/1 and had zero movement. No emails since that day. I cancelled the gray today at 137pm and reordered the black around 315. The other thing I changed were debit card to cc. It went to preparing almost immediately. I got an email with my contract and then another with my return label. Just sharing for those thinking of doing the same. Oh and the cancel button is greyed out.

Kind of same issue as above. BB pre-order for Verizon on the 23rd. Had issues starting the day everyone else said they were getting tracking info, my card got charged and order went into Preparing but changed after that. Been on and off the phone and chat with bestbuy. Finally just cancelled BB order. And got it from Verizon str8, and within an hour I got my tracking info. BB is having real problems right now.

Received notification from BB around 4pm Pacific that my N8 has shipped. Got online to check the tracking number and it says "Out for Delivery". Weird but yay.
