BestBuy: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Should I be concerned? My order has said preparing for quite a while. Ordered 9/5. It says it's expected to ship by 9/29 but if i add the orchid grey to my cart it says "get it by 9/25 with free shipping".

I ordered from both Samsung and best buy assuming they would ship at around the same time. Turns out the Best Buy order is already here while the Samsung order is not going to ship for another 2-3 weeks. But the Samsung order has the free wireless charging mat as well as 128gb SD card included. Can I convince Best Buy to throw those in as well, or do I need to return my used phone to them so that I make $1,000 loss.

Also, why did I not get a special promotion from Best Buy while others here did? Paid $1000+ for the phone only without any extras.

install the app Samsung Shop. round up images of your receipt showing device and price and BB. upload thru the app under promotions after you login. you'll get a confirmation or another message and it will show a shipping date.

Probably not, but I almost don't want to give best buy my money at this point. the problem is they took that option away from me. Just called to cancel, since I can get a black in store today, and they told me it is in fact packaged and waiting for UPS to pick up from a warehouse in CA, I am in OH by the way. I asked what priority level of shipping they are using, no surprise it's standard ground shipping. So maybe i will have my phone mid to late next week. And since it is already packaged i don't even have the option to cancel.

Looks like it was scheduled for Friday delivery, but UPS seems to think they can get me my phone by Thursday. Still pretty annoyed at Best Buy over this whole process.

For anyone still wondering whether Verizon would definitely accept the trade-in credit after buying the N8 at BB, I just took my Moto Z Force to Verizon store and they gave me the full $480 credit ($20/mo).

After I activated my N8 that I ordered from BB, I just took my trade-in into a Verizon store, and within 5 minutes I had a receipt showing the $20/mo credit. If you want to mail it in instead, I'm not sure what the process would be since there were no instructions with my N8 shipment.

Same for me. Actually my wife took my old phone to Verizon (I am currently in Europe). Very easy process and no hassles.

I did mine on-line and got the box in the mail 3 days later. Mailed back today. No problem. Verizon said it might only take a month to see the credit.

It is supposed to arrive tomorrow. will see. it showed that it shipped out of Portland Oregon on Sept 13th but it sat there until Monday the 18th it showed in Illinois.

Does anyone have an update whether Best Buy has applied the $150.00 pre-order incentive to their carrier bills? I am on Verizon and I do not think it has been applied yet. Ordered online and took delivery September 8th.
