I'm not scared, I'll go on record as LOATHING the iPhone.

My Mom has one and she is forever handing it to me asking me to find out why it does this, can you make it do that, can you find and install an app they call this, and so on.

I find navigating the device and the hoops one has to jump through to do anything frustrating. But they sure sell and ton of those things. I'm sure I would get used to it but I love my OGDroid in comparison.

We can't reall say that the GS2 is Better then the Bionic until we get full Specs of the Bionic. I like the GS2 but will only get it if it is 4G. But I wait until to the Bionic is released 1st to compare the both them. Then see which is the better phone... There has been a lot of comparisons with Speculated specs. There have been a lot of people speaking out of anger, frustration, and loosing of patience. I am just going to wait it out and not settle for any thing less then a dual core 4G phone whether it be the Bionic or the GS2...

Well said...I concur... although I don't want to be a beta tester ala BB Storm 1.

However, I do want to experience 4G on VZW, and the capabilities of Dual Core. The technology is moving too fast to accept anything less, for a two year experience. But MOTO and VZW must get their act together.

To answer your earlier question, I do not see why they would charge tethering for the dock. Because it is just that, a dock. It is not a laptop or even a netbook. It is a bigger screen, extended battery, and a keyboard in one package. It is a nice idea for websurfing and all, but nothing else is "Tethered" to the phone to use the data. Might as well charge it for anyone who buys a bluetooth keyboard.

That is my feeling on it at least.

I think it's fairly obvious that you slide digs at the bionic any chance you get and when anybody responds to it, you assume the role of a victim that was merely stating harmless comments. Then eventually somebody comes in to defend you and after a couple of pages of reacting to your poor me perfomance, ultimately everyone agrees to play nice until....somebody reacts (or doesn't comprehend) to one of your posts again. It can't be a coincidence that you are involved the majority of the time the thread derails.

I'm involved in the majority of the incidents on this thread because I have been outspoken about my frustration. Its the nature of the biz so to speak. I'm not assuming the role of a victim. I'm not a victim and don't believe in victims. People will get upset with me and I totally understand that. its not unusual and I don't take it personally

I guess I would just ask them to not take what I say personally. We are all here to discuss the good the bad and the ugly. We all share a common passion and while some of us may not share the same opinion, its ok.

Pentile hasn't been discussed in weeks and pages. That joke would have worked a week and a half ago. Comedy is all about timing rob

I agree but AT&T charges a tethering fee when you buy the laptop dock. That's why I was asking. To see how many people would buy it if Verizon did the same.

I agree with Hand on this one. Why charge someone extra money for something they are not technically doing? There is no tethering when you are using the dock, it is just that, a dock. Just makes the phone screen bigger and gives you a keyboard. Whoopdie doo. This of course does not mean that Verizon will not to the same as AT&T in this case though. I can totally see that happening.

No, it was a good question, I am just throwing logic at it and hoping that it sticks. Doubt I would buy it anyways for the price personally. I just hope that they do not try to add reasoning where their is none.

Yeah, congrats on getting the Droid and you'll love it, but you definitely won't be on here less. I thought the same thing when I got the Charge, but then I got tapatalk and am on here even more, haha. Its funny because I don't even want the Bionic anymore, so most of this info is largely irrelevant, but I still find this one of the most interesting sections on this site. Not to mention that digging for Bionic info first led me here, finding that it had been taken down from Moto's site led me to post. And this site is what led me to grab the Charge, which Im very happy with.

Ha I am one of those college kids but I pay my own bill and pay for all my phones but when it comes time to go back to school other expenses are on my mind and if it isnt out by then I may just grab the charge or something depending on what kind of updates come for the current phones by then.

Well then, good for you! You are a rarity. Most kids are on their parents plans. And for those who are on their parents plans, I also suspect that kids can tug on the ole' heart strings, I'm going away from home for the first time, etc. to get their family's to upgrade them. And parents might see it as an opportunity to bribe their kids to call more often or even video call them or send pics of their daily routines and new friends.

Back to school shopping takes on a whole new dimension when our little precious moves away from home for the first time to go to college.

So, CK, about that pentile... Sorry couldnt help it. But on a side note, I did go into a store to buy my sister an iPhone 4 case and looked at the X2. If you look at the youtube shortcut on the homescreen at least, you can see the it looks off a bit. Ok im done, it wasnt so much up for discussion.

So you think phones are on the top of the to get list. Most kids already have phones in high school.

Lets see here. Shiny new phone or clothes and food and spending money? Shiny new phone or books and school supplies? I would think a brand new smartphone is at the bottom of the list.

Besides that let's say it was. Are parents going to buy a Bionic over let's say the Charge, Thunderbolt, Droid 3 or any other non LTE smartphone? And why?

Depends on a lot of things CK. Are the sales at vzw pushing the phone at all. How much is it going to cost. I mean its too early to tell these things but many parents will be at the mercy of their kids and or sales teams. Either way, when you are pushing the newest item, at that moment you are claiming future proof. Well thats the theory at least.
