Bluetooth Issues

I have the nuance_froyo patch and it will pair with the device but will not connect to it. When I long press on the name of the device, and go into options none of the check marks are checked. I check connect and it just un-checks itself.

add me to the list of people having problems. One day it works fine, the next it has problems. Mine will connect and then a few minutes in it just disconnects for no apparent reason. Upon trying to reconnect it wont. If I unpair, reboot and repair it works for a few minutes then stops. Im using superclean v4 with voodoo

This is my experience as well...I'm unable to check those options.

I just called JVC tech support and she is advising I need to have hfp version 1.5 and opp version 1.1 in order for the phone to be compatible with the stereo. However I haven't got a clue as to how I can check the bluetooth stack specifics (I assume that's where this information would be).

Does anyone know how to dig deeper into bluetooth to get the specifics?

So after many failed attempts to get the bluetooth working on EB01, I odin'd the DJ05 modem and went back to a superclean DL30 rom. Everything seems to be working so far.

Question...which DL30 superclean did you go with? I'm downloading 1.0 right now but wondering.

Also...where did you find the DJ05 modem file? I'm searching for it but if you have a link it would be very helpful.

Yep dl30 with dj09 had zero problems with bluetooth. El01 doesn't pair to my car.

sent from my rooted NookColor

This is definitely an EB01 problem...because now I'm on DL30 with DJ05 modem and no disconnects. Unfortunately beyondpod doesn't resume playing upon hang up but Slacker works fine. Don't know what they did to EB01 but it broke bluetooth for some of us. Very annoying.

Glad you got it working. I'm running superclean .9, that was the last file I had before I started downloading the EB01 supercleans. Hopefully whatever they broke in EB01 will be fixed in the official froyo release.

Yea found that my phone wont link to my bluetooth either it was working while I had it stock but I really wanted froyo so now im stuck...anyways the phone is great now hopefully we can get a fix soon..

EDIT: Got the phone to pair with my bluetooh and it works now with no issues! all is well in the world!

bluetooth function broken between fascinate and vehicle

Alright, so I'm a bit pissed with this phone. It seems it doesn't do certain things that my wife's Droid X does and its really starting to piss me off. I have upgraded to the new SC2.9 flash and the phone runs a ton better, but there is still something that bothers me. My wife and I own 2011 Dodge vehicles (I own a ram, she owns a Durango). They have the exact same radio in them. However, when she connects to bluetooth, she can access Pandora and hear it through her radio, where as when I try that I get a fast forward sound in my truck. Her radio receives text message notifications, mine doesn't. So, as I test to see if its my radio, I paired her phone to my radio and guess what! My radio works flawlessly with her droid X: SMS notifications and Pandora. So...what is so different about the Fascinate that doesn't allow proper bluetooth function ability or SMS notifications when its clearly the phone not the truck? I tried this last year when I was on 2.1 and the phone was brand new, and recently with the SC2.9 (Froyo 2.2 build).

Can you further explain? I'm not very familiar with the acronyms or flashing, why I did DX's all in one flash package. Like I said, the phone has never worked with the radio-bluetooth and such- from the day I got it from Verizon til now with 2.2.

It's the software that controls the modem/radio for your phone. Most of the time when you have problems with something like you're having re-flashing the offending piece of software corrects it.

Ok, I'll try it, thanks!

Didn't work. Still have major issues with bluetooth and media. It won't even play music from my phone storage, much less Pandora. When & if it connects, it goes into a horrible FF mode then crashes bluetooth-icon drops, radio comes on, and then reconnects to bluetooth moments later. Odd how my phone wont work but wife's DX works perfectly.

Hey I have a 2011 GTI as well with the same issues. My phone (Samsung Fascinate) will connect but only after I have manually connected it. It will not auto connect. My first gen DROID would auto connect without any issues. I'm rooted but haven't installed any new ROM's yet, where can I find superclean .9? Were you having the same issues more or less?

FWIW my current build is EA28

Cheers,

Yeah, I was having the same issues. In fact, before I rooted my phone it would lock up and reset whenever I tried to connect the bluetooth. It seems like the Fascinate has some bluetooth compatibility issues with European cars.

In my experience DL30 worked the best with my GTI. I had problems staying connected with EB01, and the bluetooth wouldn't even turn on with EB16, so I switched back. I have the DJ05 modem, but I don't think that affects bluetooth. The link for DL30 ROMs is here http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...hemes-kernels-released-sticky.html#post612003

Bluetooth worked fine for me since the beginning stock all the way up to Stock E28 with my Venza. Once I synched the phone and car radio, all I had to do was turn on bluetooth on my phone and it would synch and connect in seconds.

Recently flashed to SuperClean 2.8 non-voodoo, Baseband/Build EB01.

The symptom I get now is when I turn on bluetooth on the phone, car and phone synch for a couple second, then phone vibrates for a while, and I have to pull out the battery to reboot.

I then have to go back on my car radio and re-synch the phone and car, then bluetooth will work during the trip.

If I leave the car for a while, blue tooth sometimes still works without rebooting, but most of the time I have to reboot/re-synch (overall a pain in the ass vs. how it used to work).

If someone has a suggestion on how to fix I am willing to give it a try.
