I leave my phone on a night stand when i'm at home. I'm not in my room all of the time (obviously). I have a 5 month who scoots and grabs things. I had my phone charging one day and my son was playing on the floor. I was in the kitchen helping with dinner when i thought i heard something. I didn't think anything of it because he usually makes a lot of noise with his toys. Well when i walked in there around 15 minutes later he had my evo and was drooling on it and banging it on his other toys! Luckily i have a seidio screen guard on it but the sides got a little nicked up. The drool doesn't seem to have affected the phone at all (thankfully).

With a good seidio case i know i wouldn't have to worry about it getting banged up by him (or my other kids).

I have a story that is a little crazy but true, I got my new white evo just yesterday, which is the sane day my wife had a scheduled c- section. So I have my great new phone and its delivery time. Now I'm behind the paper surgical wall by my wife head and she tells me to get some pics so I'm not a fan of blood or of seeing my wires insides so I reach up and over the paper wall and just start snapping away with the evo's awesome 8 mega pixel camera and all the sudden because if the white backing of my phone being smooth it slips from my nervous hand and lands in....no not my wifes cut open stomach But onto a stack of blood soaked rags. I was yelled at but after my healthy son was born I was given my phone back but it has permanent red marks on the back. I wish best buy had cases that morning, but now I ask for one from your contest not to protect my phone but to cover up the blood stains from my wife. Thank you

Despite knowing better, I still tend to put my phone in my front shirt pocket for convenience. Due to this, it accrues scrapes and bumps over time around the sides of my phone as it falls out when I lean over or try to duck into cars. I'm sure an Innocase case would save my phone from more blemishes.

My wife and oldest daughter are away at camp so I had to become Mr. Mom for the week. Getting my self plus 2 others ready in the morning is not a pretty sight but I struggled through it. 2 days ago, I placed my Evo on the roof of the car next to my cup of coffee and place my 2 year old in her car seat. After she and my 7 year old were buckled up in the car I got in the car and backed out of the drive way...I am sure you can see where this is going. Put the car in gear and away we went. That is when I say the coffee running down the back window and it hit me...MY PHONE!!!! I slammed on the breaks, put in park and jumped out of the car. There was my Evo spinning in the street. I got lucky that the screen was facing up but the battery cover and did not fair as good. As I was surveying the damage, I told myself that a Seidio case would have saved the phone, just as it did on my Palm Pre.

No interesting story here because I am currently unemployed I can not afford to drop my EVO so I guard it with my life 24 hours a day, sleeping with one eye open. If I had a better case to protect it I may be able to spend more time enjoying my EVO this cheap rubber case from BB is not cutting it.

danger will robinson, your car is flailing wildly

I was driving home from work and trying to listen to a podcast using my car stereo's aux port and my beloved HTC EVO. Long story short, sudden braking was required and the phone slid off my console, reached the end of the audio cable, and promptly *THWACKED* into the side of the gear shift base (very hard faux-wood plastic). It seems to be just fine, but I would have felt a lot better with a Seidio case!!!

EVO

I was on the beach with my gf and because she had her beach bag I left my phone in there and forgot about it. When we got home I asked for the phone, she took it out and it was all scratched because she had a SIGG metal bottle in the bag. I assume that's what it was that scratch it. I was a bit disappointed to be quite honest that after not even a month my phone was already scratched. My iPhone after 2 years of use didn't have as many scratches as my 1 month old EVO.

I bike to work everyday in some loose shorts so the pockets aren't very secure. West LA streets aren't too smooth and I hit this bump and it sends my phone flying out of my pocket onto the pavement. I was horrified to see the backside scuffed. At least a car didn't run it over

I was leaving the store with bags in my both hands as well as my EVO in one. When I got to my jeep, i put my EVO on the roof(yes I know, should've seen it coming) to get my keys and open the door. I put the bags in and being a jeep i cant clearly see the top of the roof and i forgot my baby was there. As i exited the lot and was entering the on-ramp my heart stopped and my mouth went dry as I saw the tip of my EVO start to slide down from the top of the windshield. Going almost 55mph I quickly rolled my window down, reached out and TRAPPED IT BEFORE IT FELL OFF THE WINDSHIELD!! smh i was soooo lucky that day and ever since my EVO has been attached to my hip. But I NEED a case for close calls as such.

My tale of Evo Horror begins on a hot and steamy July 4th when at a friends birthday BBQ I had my precious month old Evo naked laying on a table on the edge. Next thing you know a kid hits the table and my Evo falls a good 3 feet to the ground face first and bounces into the grass...praise to glory it survived without a scratch, a dent or worst yet a crack. Now if I had a Seidio case on it, I wouldn't have almost suffered a minor heart attack and scared a lil kid but then again no more edges for my Evo...LoL

I work security at a television studio with a very big parking lot. One night while conducting my foot patrol, I find two men trying to break in to a car. As I was chasing them my Evo managed to wiggle its way out of my pocket and promptly bounced end over end. I managed to get one guy but the other one hopped the fence. Later when all was said and done, I found my phone some how still functional, but with major scratches everywhere. Well that's about it, just waiting to get it replaced and then super gluing it to my hand.

I was under my car changing the oil and forgot I had my phone in my pocket. It slipped out of my pocket and slid down my driveway. I now have a scratch on my camera lens and the outer silver rim for the camera :(

Umm, I most selfishly, took a breath of fresh air while holding my EVO! I know, I know, it was a rude thing to do and I begged my EVO for forgivness but all I got was the silent treatment. I don't know what to do.

I've heard other horror stories of users actually taking the EVO with them to take a DUMP! Can you believe that- what cruel and unusual punishment for an EVO to have to go through!

I thought I was bad but those users, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, actually disgracing an EVO like that. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Really. As for me, I think if I'm going to do this bad habit really often I might as well do it in style with a cool looking SEIDIO RUGGED case. When it gets down and dirty I want the best of the best right there with me.

I was taking my evo to the bathroom because I love to check my feeds while having some down time with no 2 :p. I see there was a link on youtube for the latest progress on CM6 so I bring it up on youtube HD, pop out the kickstand and place it on the rim of my bathtub in perfect viewing distance. Unfortunately porcelain is surprisingly slippery, so a case would have saved my evo from taking an unnecessary fall :(

Being an OCD freak when it comes to a phone I just paid full MSRP for, I try to be as careful as possible when handling the device. That said, the only thing I DREAD is when I am showing off my phone to a friend or relative.

Speaking of which, just yesterday 4 days after having my EVO and handling it with extra care, a co-worker comes to my desk, picks my phone up without asking, messes around with it and as he is going to put it back onto my desk it SLIPS OUT of his hand bounces off the desk and onto the floor :(

I don't know how the phone was completely undamaged but boy do I need a proper case. PICK ME :)

Oooops!

Two weeks ago, I was engaged in less than discreet activities with my mother-in-law, when I received a call on my Evo from my wife (displaying her picture on the beautiful large size screen). As I quickly tried to grab the phone from the night table and end the call I dropped the phone on the marble floor. Needless to say, the interruption soured things and my screen now has a hairline fracture in it, which could've been prevented had I demonstrated better judgment in both areas (i.e. innappropriate relations with my mother-in-law , not to mention, investing in a case for my phone. Please help!

I wipe my Evo atleast 3 times a day. Twice I have played hot potato with the phone. It's a scary feeling because my Evo is bare back.

Yesterday after work I had my EVO and keys in one hand pulling my Laptop on wheels bag and holding a grass cutter blade in the other hand. And to help things along, I'm on my 4th day of limited sleep. Well being semi alert I notice the corner edge of the mower blade was close to the screen glass of the evo.. I know keys and knives have no effect, but a bop from the blade might crack the glass. So I decided to flip the phone over to the back side to protect the phone glass. That's when it happen, I dropped the phone.. Using knee and foot action I slowed the dropping phone onto the top of my sneakers and it slide safely to the parking lot ground. I see just a teeny mark, but its all good. I'm sure if I had my phone in a Seido's case, I would fair better, I would say much better. Don't ask me why I had my phone out.. I have no idea.. Also the company that got a email from me from yesterday was asking what it meant. Well, the email was not for them. So I'm not this way.. Maybe old.. But no, I better than this..
Old
