My Evo has yet to take a tumble, but I can't count high enough to tell you the number of times my previous phone hit the floor/street. I need a case so that I can stop babying this lovely new phone!. I would consider a rugged case a kind of preemptive strike!

I was riding the freeway on my motorcycle (1970 honda cb750 cafe racer) going about 65mph when my phone fell out my side pocket which was halfway zipped up. Needless to say it fell out, hit my leg and foot and bounced on the freeway three times before ending up in the grill of a city bus. I stopped my bike on the side of the freeway and braved 3 lanes of traffic to see what was left, the body was still in tact but the screen, battery, and back cover had been crushed or flung off, had I had a case of some sort I think it would have been more salvageable, but thank god for insurance but curse you demand because I had to wait 3 weeks for my replacement.

Was bending over to pick something up and my Evo came flying out of my shirt pocket and tumbled to the floor. Luckily, it landed on a big piece of plastic and was unscathed but I had fears of a giant crack running down the front as I slowly picked it back up.

Well, I have two small dogs and they love to wrestle/play with each other. So I had my Evo on the ottoman in the living room... and my dogs come bursting through the living room like a huge tumbleweed playing. In their path was the ottoman; they bumped into the ottoman and knocked my Evo onto the hardwood floor and THEN TO ADD... one dog stepped/jumped all over it [Evo] when she got excited when I rushed over to save my Evo b/c she thought I was coming to pick her up. I still love my dogs, but that whole situation made my heart stop... Luckily, the phone survived in mint condition.

Flying Evo

So for my mothers birthday, her boyfriend and I decided to patch up a couple spots in the roof. So i kept my evo in my pocket through out the work, but I needed to put a piece of wood to cover a hole, so i bent over and tried. Since i was wearing shorts, I felt like my evo was being crammed in my pocket. So i place it on the roof next to me, fix up the hole, and turn around to see my evo missing. So i panic and start looking for it on the roof, only not to find it. I then thought " omg it fell!!!". I quickly got down and searched for it frantically. I found it face down in the dirt. Luckily, it only received serious damage on the bottom where the ports are.
But now i know that i definitely need a case, and a sedio case might do just well.;)

I work at the Alabama shakespeare festival as a technician,I was working on the grid which is above the stage when my phone slipped from my pocket, slipped between the steel gerders and begin zooming towards the stage floor 75 feet down. Luckily it hit a lighting instrument 15 feet down and landed in snow machine which was still luckily full of shreaded plastic bags (which we use for fake snow). My case was cracked but my phone was ok...

Puppy Playtime

Just a few months back, my family got a tiny adorable labrador puppy and on launch day, I got a not-so-tiny adorable HTC Evo 4G.

As of two weeks ago, my puppy, who is not so tiny anymore, somehow got a hold of my precious Evo. The strong glass screen was spared, but the back cover and the components underneath it were not so lucky.\

Fortunately, after a phone call and a little Sprint Premiere action, I have a new Evo. I was impressed considering how hard it is to get one.

My phone was the only thing damaged, but this could have been harmful to the puppy (his name is Bear) as well!

So, I need a Seidio Active case to slow my buddy down and protect him and my Evo!

Have had my EVO for about a week and I always kept it naked. I thought it looked awesome that way...until I dropped it, which was NOT so awesome.

It all happened when I was helping a friend move out of her apartment. We were standing out front and I had my Evo in my hand down by my side. While we were standing there she tries to jump on my back and her knee hits the back of my hand which sends my Evo flying. It landed face down on the concrete which severely scratched the edges and screen and also broke the speaker so it rattled during calls.

Luckily I had insurance and they sent me out a brand new Evo. Winning a case would be amazing because I wouldn't have to worry about that happening ever again!

A friend an I were trying to use BUMP between our 2 phones (me:EVO / him: IPhone3GS). I handed it over to him and i saw him start punching his hands together and making contact with each other with both our phones in each of his hands. I had to pull it away to he didnt scuff it up. Scared the living crap out of me.

I recently adopted a little kitten named Max. He was about 5 weeks old when I took him in after his momma died and left 4 kittens in the backyard at a friends house. My friend decided to give away the kittens and she had success, for the first 3. The only one left was Max. He was the cutest, shyest and vulnerable little baby kitten you never did see. I figured I would take him in before the girl sent him to the humane society. After a few days in his new home, Max began to warm up to people and showed more personality. I wish he never did. He is a spastic hyper-cat that WILL chew on anything within 3 feet of him. He acts just like a puppy. He's rowdy, eats a lot, chews on stuff and even barks.... yes, i'm serious. Anyway... I was laying on my bed and I was using my E-o (Kinda like G-d) to browse the web. Max crept up from behind, I heard his footsteps but I couldn't react fast enough. He jumped on my nightstand and over my head and right into my E-o. He knocked it right out of my hand. It fell about 3 feet from my bed right towards the ceramic tiles (ya I have tiles in my room, is that weird?). Luckily I had just kicked off my Rockports and the phone landed safely inside on of them. Close call. I still don't know why he did it. It was probably because I spend more time with my E-o than I do with him. I wanted to spank him but... could you spank something as cute as this:

I was at a royals game last week and i accidentally dipped the corner of my EVO in my chili cheese fries....

now there is chili and nacho cheese stuck in the little crack on the corner for ever...

Too bad i didnt have a seidio case on it....

While driving with the family yesterday for a small summer vacation, my EVO was charging via a car charger in our vehicle. While at a gas station, I had placed the phone - still plugged in - in a cup holder in the passenger side door. While not looking, my mother opened the door, pulling the evo out of the cup holder and sending it careening straight down towards the pavement. As the mini usb side of the chord yanked itself free, it caused the phone to spin momentarily in place, allowing a quick grab mid-air as I realized what was happening. Close call. Clooooose call.

sit down in a chair wearing stupiiid pants with STUPID pockets. The EVO is rather large so it wasnt sitting well in my pocket. Not to mention the plastic is like ice to the fabric. I shifted in my chair and out came the EVO. The room was dead quiet so all you heard was the bang of my 200 dollar phone hitting the floor. Everything was okay (it was like a foot off the ground) but it could have been worse. I NEED A CASE!

I was riding my bike to class and had just finished an important phone call. I was about to put my phone back in my pocket and got it halfway in when I hit a bump and the phone popped out. Luckily since my hand was so close I was able to snatch it before it hit the ground. I have had my phone since launch day but want to protect my phone just in case.

My two year old son took my phone off the table because he wanted to make a few calls. I politely asked him to give daddy back his phone but he instead wanted to play a game.......keep away. He takes off running through the house and I catch up with him in the living room. As I try to get my phone back, my son gets mad and throws it because that's what two year olds are supposed to do. Luckily the phone lands on one of his toys and is not damaged. I might not be so lucky next time and a new case would definitely absorb some of the impact.

And The Thunder Rolls

I had just bought the EVO on launch, and that weekend at a street fair, I saw rolling clouds of black and grey. I knew that I had to either run home and try to avoid the rain or find a plastic grocery bag and completely wrap the phone up. I ended up wrapping it and praying that the static electricity would not fry my phone. After the storm passed, I quickly shed the bag and everything turned out ok, but I could have used some sort of barrier and just kept it in my jeans!

The Evo 4g Escape

The other day I was washing the dishes and talking on my evo at the same time. I know it sounds like a bad idea, but at the time I was'nt thinking. I went to put a plate in the dish rack when my 2 year old son comes from behind at full speed and hugs both of my legs at the same time. This not a good thing when my evo 4g is hovering over soapy water being held by my head and my shoulder. I droped the phone missing the sink because of the plate, but then it got deflected towards the floor. I extended my leg to soften the fall on the tile kichen floor. The only problem with that was the evo hit my shoe and then bounced another time and slid on the tile floor then fell down 3 steps that were carpeted. My poor evo excaped with very minor sctraches on the battery door.

I really don't have a horror story but love my HTC Evo and I take really really good care of it. O have 3 kids and they love playing on my phone but they scare me every time they hold it therefore I am looking in to getting a Innocase Rugged cases. PLEASE PLEASE PICK ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About two weeks ago, I was on the Superman ride at Magic Mountain in Southern California. Let?s just say I picked the wrong day and minute to ride the Superman ride. It was nearing the park closure time and my brother and I both decided to go on the Superman ride last before leaving the park. Well we got on the ride, and everything went as expected, until about the time the ride should have ended. The ride got stuck with us half-way up the Superman ride ramp, which reaches a total 41 stories. Well we were stuck there for over 70 minutes, so I decided to take my Evo 4g out to snap some shots of the annoying, but interesting instance of my day. As I was taking pictures roughly 20 stories up in the air, somewhat panicked by the height as it was, the roller coaster instantly continued toward the top of the 41 story tower. At this point my brother and I screamed with panic at the random acceleration, which reaches 100 mph in seven seconds. Well as the coaster started back up at an instant, in the middle of me taking pictures, I dropped my phone on the coaster floor?luckily it didn?t drop out of the roller coaster all together and only hit the bottom of the coaster by my feet. In conclusion, the sides of the phone managed to crack as a result of the drop. The reason I want the free case is for my Evo, so that the next time I find myself stranded on a roller coaster taking pictures, my phone will hopefully suffer less damage if dropped on my way up a 41 story tower. I don't think my Evo will handle another drop, unless it's strengthened by a new case. Apparently you need the Superman strength of the Seido case in order to survive the Superman roller coaster.
