Does cm6 unlock the fps cap or do I need to flash a different kernel to do that? If so where do I find that?

Another question about cyanogen...I'm new to all of this btw...is there any way to install the visual voicemail from sprint on cyanogen? I miss having that
You sure can... i have it installed on mine running CM6 final.. you just need the APK file for it.

Hey man.. which version of the kernel did you go with? Are you using the nightlies or the cm6 final?
i did, too until i figured out how to get google voice to work. GOOGLE VOICE FTW
My Google Voice tells me it doesn't work with my carrier.
go onto google.com/voice then register for a phone number...you can pick whatever area code you want. then you just follow the directions to activate. it will prompt on your phone if it took. it will fix the settings on your phone...you won't need to do anything if you get the prompt, even if it says it doesn't work wth your carrier. test it out.
it would not work for me at all until i registered for the new number....which with certain settings i turned it into a vmail only number but you can use it as another phone number if you'd like. since i have an out of county phone number i just chose something for the county i'm currently in.
Another odd thing that keeps happening with my voicemail is that I keep receiving a text from Sprint every time I get a voice mail. I just ended up Blacklisting it through Handcent so I don't have to deal with the redundancy.
Batter plummets on 3g, fine on Wifi
On my lunch hour today, my battery dropped from 70% to 40%, then in the next four hours back on wifi, I only lost 10% more.
I know it could be caused by a lot of things, but would appreciate any suggestions on where to start looking.
I saw in another forum someone suggested re-flashing the radios? Might that help?

I've noticed not so good battery performance as well. However, I don't think mine is as bad as going from 70 to 40 in an hour but its definitely not as good as other Roms I've used. Sucks because i really like the senseless ROM but the battery life bugs me.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try. You don't have a link handy do you? I'm sure I can find it.
Question about flashing kernels - Is that kernel then specific to that rom? In other words, if I flash back to Baked Snack, that rom will still have it's own kernel right?

Yeah it won't carry over.
Just go to xda its there, try the 850 version and work up if its not stable, no wiping required.
