If you can't wait...

For those of you that can't wait, I built CM7 with VC drivers, after syncing with zefie's repo. You can get a copy by following me on Twitter, I will post the link there.

This does not have anything different than the 3/10 nightly except for VC drivers.

Zefie does not have to support my build at all, and when he gets his vm back up, and rebuilds, I would even suggest moving back to his version, as it is from his machine, and he can speak of it's validity.

I do however have my build on my phone, and do not have any problems that are not already pre-existing in the bug reporter.

DO NOT REPORT any issues about this build to zefie's bug tracker, as this will muddy the waters.

Zefie's current build was presumably built with V9 drivers. So for those with newer hardware (screens), they needed a rom built with VC or VD source for the video drivers, or else their screen was blank. This is for that niche until zefie's get back up and running, or whoever takes over.

Mine auto changed but I live in Arizona. We don't change our clocks here. Reboot and it went back to the proper time.

Strange

Mine did not automatically change. I just rebooted now and when it came back up it was fixed.

Android/Sprint issue. My stock did the same. I was like WTF fail. (like the rest of today)

my nightlies are totally VC kernel drivers AND binaries, dunno where you got V9 from. The VD issue looks interesting I wonder if they resized partitions.

Are you building your own kernel? I think the new LCD stuff is ifdef'd so it might have to do with build options.

well simon pm'd me and said he couldn't use VD files because it made /system too big for our nand. but i checked and our nand size didnt change so I will have to look into this.

As for VD drivers, I'm still trying to get the source, LG's site is flakey.

I'm updating some stuff, you'll see changes in OP. Question mark dates mean I don't know when the build will be ready.

I know this has been beaten to death... but I was wondering if the proximity issues have been ironed out in the last two nightlies. I am wanting to reflash to CM7 but will wait if they haven't. I am on the VD baseband.

Thanks.

I assumed they were, see fourteen posts back from this one I quoted. Someone said the nightly didn't work with their newer screen, thus my conclusion.

got a ? is acceluration an jit an stag enabled or can i use a build-prop from LEGO-ROM-v2

I can't say for hardware acceleration, but JIT can be enabled/disabled from the CM7 settings inside the ROM and I believe someone stated before that 2.3 may need stagefright enabled to run (which this is 2.3).

Also, I could see it being a bad idea to flash a build.prop from a different version of Android into a newer one, Lego ROM is still 2.2 isnt it? Not sure what would happen, but I doubt it would be good.

is your baseband VD? if it is and you haven't had any experience with custom ROMs I wouldn't start with LEGO because theres so much stuff you can do to custominze it it can get overwhelming if you dont know what anything means. I would start with nROM because you dont have to wipe your data to flash it (i'm not sure if you even have to wipe dalvik and cache but i do anyways) or thunder ROM would work well too (you must wipe you data to use thunder ROM)
