Ya my baseband is vd an iv use custome roms I was wondering whats the fastest running rom wanting to get the best performance out of my phone I know ppl have got a 1500 bench score an I was wanting to atless get close to that. Any help an sugestions is appreciated
sorry but this is rubbing me the wrong way, please use the search feature to find out WHY people are getting 1500 bench scores, the reason is it's not compatible with quadrent, and some other benchmarkers, so when quadrent tests, and that test fails it gets a time stamp of zero which raises the score, even though the test was never actually performed. You're not going to be playing COD, or reach or even WOW on your phone, so stop trying to "get the best performance out of your phone" if you truly want the best performance out of your phone, leave it stock, thats the ABSOLUTE ONLY WAY to achieve solid performance from your phone. A rom is a non warrantied, non supported(for all intensive purposes it is, just not by manufactures and carriers), and NOT FOR YOU!!! You're likely just someone who wants to show off your phone, I've been there, it's cool to be cool for a bit but it's not going to get you any action, and no one really thinks your cool because your cell phone is over clocked. I'd forget about this forum and just be happy you phone can surf the web. On a side note you probably would have been better off searching the threads for a Q&A thread instead of getting on a rom thread, a nightly rom thread for that matter, and asking what the best rom is. To answer your question, honestly, due to the level of forum knowledge you've shown here, I really do believe you should just root your phone but stick with a stock rom. There is z4root out there, it's a really easy install apk, and its a one click done thing, you won't have to worry about complex things like ADB, SDKs, JDKs, JREs, command prompt/terminal (emulators), or custom recoveries, and thats just for getting roms, if you want performance you need more things like build.props, and custom kernels, not to mention the slew of apps you would need just to deal with all the custom work your doing to your phone. Now if you were wise enough to actually research all of those things, and learn about them, i think you would probably already know which rom was right for you and you'd know why i posted they way i did. You're not the only one, you're just excited about what you can do with this phone and thats fine, but as your parents probably told you there is a time and a place for everything and in this thread is neither.
If you'd would like to send me a PM i'd be glad to get you started in the right direction, i can provide links for everything that you'll need, even z4 root and i'm never going to try to stop anyone from learning, because i think there is more to gain when more people know what their doing, but if working on cell phone software isn't your thing, I wouldn't waste the time.
I sincerely hope this post helps you, which ever choice you make, i'll be glad to help you but this is the answer you really needed.
more on the bench marking, i think i need to explain the zero thing, quadrent is basing it's scores on the time it takes to complete a list of actions, the faster an action is completed the higher the resulting score, by this measure a score of 5 seconds, is not as good as a score of 2 seconds. when the test fails it returns a score of 0 seconds, quadrent then thinks the test was completed really fast and thus boosts the score, but your still not actually getting that score.
