to start, great mod works very well. I have one issue tho. I am running a Virgin Mobile Optimus and after i install this RoM it keeps asking me to update the system? Is there a way to stop this constantly popping up? Do I update or not? Thanks for the help ;)

Flash the attached zip in recovery to disable OTA's from popping up and being able to install!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks smccloud and m3rp for testing.

@ ANYBODY!!!

I need one person to download the attached zip and flash it. It will replace you build.prop, all the build.prop's on sd,and rename the ota security check so that it cant install even if it sneaks back in.

One person please post saying "testing" then come back and say if it flashed without issue. Then everyone else can flash and i can add to first post.
There's not really any risk of anything going wrong i just want to double check it flashs without problems. Whoever is nice enough to do this if you have any problems just flash thunder on top, sorry i would but don't have a phone yet.lol

This fixes the Sprint version.

Hello. I just flashed to the new ThundeROM on my newly activated phone. While I can call people, I currently have no data service on the phone, where I did before.

I installed the custom recovery, did a nand save and ran the first three deletions: Factory/Data,cache,darvik, and then installed Thunderom 1.7. When I turn on my phone it tries to hands free activated, but then fails.

Voice calling appears to work.

What do I do next?

1.6.2 melts my battery real fast, the rom is a month old and outdated. I jumped to NROM and its amazing except the PRL update is missing.

Nrom/Lego or Cyanogen are the way to go

don't know what happened with your phone, but my battery life is still great or better than stock with the thunderom...all the roms are great so far for our phones and the guys for thunderom are trying their best to push out a new one soon

Are you running a task killer if thats where your battery is going.

Anyone that's downloaded and installed in the past 24 hours or so is probably running v1.7. The DL link was switched but we didn't update the thread info until now. You can check by going into Menu > Settings > About Phone - Look under Build Number. If it says 1.7 then you have 1.7.

With that said, 1.7 is up. Changelog is in post #1. We don't have access to any V9 phones so this has only been tested on VC phones.

Does 1.7 fix the SD card issue?

If LG's fix in the VC update fixes it, then yes. 1.7 is built from VC so assuming they did their job it should be fixed. I haven't personally checked because i wouldn't be able to remember where i put that class 2 card the phone came with if you paid me. Class 10 baby .... thats the way to go ;)

LOL, class 10 it is then.

I never did the VC update, should I do it before attempting to flash to 1.7? Or am i not understanding how this works?

Thanks for the update! I have a question. Can I flash the deluxe build prop on 1.7 or no? Also, can I flash Xionia Kernel to get my OC back?

Yeah give it a go. Should be no need to wipe anything, just flash and enjoy.

Remember to always make a nandroid backup! That's you're safety rope in this android hacking game we play.

When you flash ThundeROM 1.7 it will push a new buildprop onto your SD card so flash the ROM then you can flash the Deluxe. You don't want to use an old deluxe with these new ROMs because then your version number will be wrong and the phone could try to still look for the OTA.

Yeah if you want to flash Xionia then you'll be able to OC but keep in mind ...
1) We didn't build it so we don't test it.
2) Because of #1, if something goes wrong or is acting wonky, don't post about it until you've gone back to the kernel we provided.
