Yesterday when I put the new thunderrom version onto the root of my sd card and then I went into recovery to flash it and it wasn't showing up only the other version? Thanks so much! Also I messed around with that partitioning which I knew nothing about and it erased everything on my sd card. I have an 8g sd card.
I'm sorry I'm not very good at explaining thingsEh.....what?

Love 1.8, but my battery seems to die quick now... I unplugged it and with a refresh ROM startup... I left it on my desk for 2 hours, without any use... and it was 81%

Check your apps. This is by far and away the best battery life I've ever had on any android phone. I can get 2 days without charging now without any problem.
Can you use a task manager or should we avoid it? When I go to applications and view running services it only shows 10 and I know a couple of my apps run in the background but do not show up.

Stagefright is optional.
Do mot use older buildprops.
1.8 kernel cannot overclock
Don't use a task manager with android and if you want to be a good friend to someone, if you see they have one tell them to remove it and reboot the phone. They'll thank you in about a week.
So no task manager at all? Just let the apps that run in the background run? Does this not kill battery life? Sorry if that is a dumb question.
Well, thank you both very much. I didn't realize that's where it came from.
I'm having a problem with my screen timeout. It's set at 30 Sec and still will not go off unless I hit the power button.
How do you reset the battery?Check your apps. This is by far and away the best battery life I've ever had on any android phone. I can get 2 days without charging now without any problem.

Apps don't "run" in the background like you might think. They just get suspended in memory and stop using any power (aside from power it normally uses to keep the phone on). When you use a task killer, your phone needs to continuously keep reopening + processing those files which *does* kill battery life. Some processes will keep relauching automatically, then you keep killing them, then they keep relaunching and draining the battery. In many cases, people create their own battery life problems by using task killers (and then they start using the task killer even more trying to "fix" the problem...)
I actually strongly disagree, I use a task manager for killing thing's that DONT need to be running..
I don't mean any and all i dislike... thing's like youtube. When I had a very good stablilty of 1.6.2 going. I could go a good 18 hour's just normal texting without my battery dying quick. It would slowly drop.
One night I hit youtube and I fell asleep... woke up from 91% to 56% battery. This is with it "closed" as you would say. NEVER happened before, I open my task manager every once in awhile to see what's running. Without further explination's... It was youtube that killed it.
