I have a question? The 3G and signal bars are usually green, but every now and then they are white. Why is this?
I have some ideas but want know for sure.
sent from my CM7 gingerbread Optimus S
Never mind figured it out there's an update theme server button In the settings. Rock!
i'm having problem when powering off the phone to charge it and as soon as i connect the power plug the phone boots up to the home screen instead of the charging battery screen
That's a "feature" of CM7, not a bug. This has been discussed quite a few times already. I may remove that "feature" in the future but it's not very high on my priority list.
Honestly I share your sentiment. The only thing that even came up for me in the theme updater was a font pack and a launcher. I believe I saw a theme thread around here for the cm7 roms. For now it would probably be best to stick to those.Umm...I've never used CyanogenMod on a supported platform (with the exception of installing CM6 on my friends HTC Hero) and I have no idea where to start looking for theme servers to place in the 'Manage Theme Servers' section of the 'Theme Update Settings' portion of the CM Updater settings. I don't want to install a theme that will break my phone by accident ^_^
Food for Thought...
I am not sure if this is native Gingerbread functionality or CM functionality, but there is the ability to select and/or create Profiles, which lets you set audio levels for various applications, including but not limited to your phone's ringtone. I was wondering, in a developer's perspective can this component be easily customized. What if you can set Bluetooth, WiFi, Data Sync, 3G, Airplane Mode, Brightness to a Profile. You know the same things you can set on the power widget.
This is how I would use it...
- I am at home, I have wifi, I can set my Home Profile to turn on WiFi to help conserve battery instead of using 3g.
- I am at home, its nighttime and I ready for bed. I switch to my Sleep Profile which turns on Airplane mode to help conserve a whole lot of battery.
- I am driving to work, I switch to my Commute Profile which turns on Bluetooth, sets media volume to high and sets my brightness to full
- I am at work, I switch to my Work Profile which turns on WiFi and sets ringer volume to vibrate
Alright, you get my point. I think this would add a great deal of customization on functionality that already exists. Not to mention, I would probably use Profiles a whole lot more. Let me rephrase that, I would probably start using Profiles.
Is this even be possible? Any thoughts?
Would this type of request go to the CM team to have it part of their base package or would be up to Drew to incorporate it in his ROM.

Nope, would have never guessed that! LolThey are green when you are synced up to Google, white if you aren't.
How come you don't just use the "theme Chooser" app. It wont brick youUmm...I've never used CyanogenMod on a supported platform (with the exception of installing CM6 on my friends HTC Hero) and I have no idea where to start looking for theme servers to place in the 'Manage Theme Servers' section of the 'Theme Update Settings' portion of the CM Updater settings.
