Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

awesome build, but I may the only person here that MMS still does not work. When I send a picture message it only says "sending..." but never really sends it and when I do receive a message, I click on "download" and it says "downloading..." without it really downloading anything

Also, Im coming from Stable-001 to Stable-002

Not having any MMS issues here. Even clean installed Stable-001 before flashing 002 over it. Try clearing cache and dalvik-cache.

Coming from stable 001 to 002. I lost my google accounts and only have "corporate" option when i try to add an account. And no option to add a google account. Will try a fresh wipe and reload.

Edit: My bad, Forgot about Gapps. Working fine now.

I just wiped everything and flashed the stable version again, and the mms works flawlessly. thank you

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

**Update: I fixed my problem. It was because the color of the text for my Weather Bug notification bar icon was black instead of white.**

I had a quick question about the stable build of this ROM. I just flashed it today and I noticed that in my notification bar there is a gap between my first icon and my USB and Debugging icons. Or if there is not a first icon aside from those the USB/Debug, then a black gap is between the edge of the screen and the icons, as in the screenshot I included.

Why does everyone have issues with trying to register the phone? Why does anyone need to register their phone? Mine works fine everytime...

You answered my question, which was whether it was OK to simply flash this build over stable 1. I wasn't sure because stable 1 didn't have ROM updates in About Phone and your stable build instructions say to do a full wipe. While it might be obvious to most people that it is OK to flash stable 1 over stable 2, I think it would be helpful if you mentioned this.
Thanks for all of you hard work!

its because the phone uses a different keyboard.
Zefies original cm7 build i sometimes had 2 keypads for my telephone. one was stock one was cm7. i would have to back out of the stock keypad.

And if you ever transfer a phone to a new number you need to re-register.

Totally loving CyanogenMod 7.1.0 Stable-001. Bluetooth headset (Plantronics Voyager Pro +) sounds a little choppy while on calls (was crystal clear with stock and CleanROM), but this can be mitigated by turning off wifi antenna. seems weird that this would be a ROM issue. Any suggestions are welcome.

Question: If I were to install Stable-002, what is best practice for reinstalling homescreen shortcuts/widgets? Is there any downside to reinstalling everything from Titanium Backup? Thanks!

If you flash 7.1.0.2 (STABLE-002) directly over it everything should still be intact.

Running stable 2, everything's going great I'd say my phone is close to perfection. An excellent job with everything.

The fundamental difference is that the experimental builds are a "testing grounds" of sorts for changes that need some (or a lot) of real-world testing before they can be called stable. A perfect example would be the CM Updater.

Oh, and you should probably add "ROM" to your phone's dictionary ;)

If you have Stable-001 arleady set, to flash Stable-002 do you flash both the ROM and the gapps?
