Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

Well, now I can't wait until CM7 gets updated for ZVH; I tried restoring my nandroid of this Rom after upgrading to ZVH, and it only works as a WiFi device, no calling, no data... Baseband unknow, PRL unknown, etc...

...off to gROM for now...

I was there last night....whooops. I ended up installing V9 stock recovery and then loading the official ZVH. I now have a working, stock, unrooted phone. Can't wait for CM7. Thanks again Drew for the best ROM I have put on this phone so-far.

I can't live anymore without this ROM, so I ended up reverting back to ZVD from ZVH, just so I could restore my nandroid of Drew's CM7. I'm sure I'll end up back on ZVH soon though...or once Drew releases an updated ZVH CM7...

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

With some help from the KP500 Guides, I am back on Stable 08/09/2011. Glad to be back!

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

I wanted to try gROM and did everything (ZCH update, root) and installed gROM.
Tried it for a while, wanted to wait until notification power widget, power menu and themes are ported and decided to come back to Drew's ROM. So I nand restored a backup I did 2 days ago.
Everything is back but therez no service anymore. (Signal bar has a cross and no service instead of sprint on the notification bar scrolldown) also I get a popup in screen saying SD card is not mounted.
Baseband says unknown again. It was ZVH after update and unknown while on Drew's rom.

What do I do to get back to how it was?? update the baseband to VC or V9??
and also how to mount SD card and set it to automatic (usual way)??

I cant make any calls now :'(

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

Used cwm recovery to flash ROM and Google apps, Insta-brick. Tried the "fail proof" unbrick method but the links are broken or lead to non-existing files. If anyone knows where to find the original firmware, and how to flash it in, let me know. Optimus S LS670VD.

Also... I did back up original rooted Rom, but even after restore, Still locks on Sprint logo.

Did you update to ZVH, If you did you need to revert back to true ZVD before you can use this rom. You can not just do a nandroid to get rid of ZVH and go back to ZVD!

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

Here's what happened... I installed that stable version of Drew's CM7 and now I'm locking up on the Sprint logo. I already had version XVD installed, and used CWM to install both the ROM zip and the Google apps zip. Before anything, I backed up my original rooted ROM. I then did a full factory wipe and cleared the mount for /system, /boot, and, /cache before the install with CWM. After the install, I rebooted. First the LG logo came up, then a second one I've never seen before. A LG logo with what I think said LG.com under it. This was the first boot lock. I then pulled the battery and rebooted to recovery, then restored my old ROM back. After rebooting, I got the first LG screen, then the Sprint logo. THEN IT LOCKS AGAIN! My backs to the wall here. I don't know where to find the factory ROM, or if I can flash it in from CWM. Any support would be great. Thanks in advanced, guys.

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

Ok, I have custom recovery and VD baseband, rooted. Can i nand restore the backup I did 4 days ago before doing the ZVH update, screwing my phone by nand restoring, flash ZVD now, and root it. Can I now nand restore Drew's rom from 4 days back or should I rather flash the ROM and start afresh?

EDIT: DONE :D

It has xionia redux! I believe 7/27/11 version! The 8/31/11 version is the updated kernel. I like this one over the Ginger kernel do to the fact my phone will not reboot with it lol.

GingerKernel does strange things on CM7 at the moment (definitely a result of still using the Froyo proprietary libraries).

If you follow the thread basketthis linked to, you will know what we're working on and what kind of progress we're making getting CM7 updated with the latest Gingerbread proprietary libraries.
