Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

I have the latest version of PRL, and I am back on CM7. I still can't send pictures....

EDIT: Doesn't seem I can get data at all. I turned wifi off and I have no data icons showing.. Probably the reason why I am not able to send and receive pictures, any idea on this?

No.... I think you missed the point of it. You need to start at the steps AFTER the PRL update and continue till the end... You must wipe, flash, flash as is in the instructions... That was the point of the link... ;)

EDIT: Make sure you're wiping/flashing in the correct order...

This is what I did, Reboot in to recovery, wipe data/cache/dalvik, flashed debug file, flashed RebornRom, Reboot, Updated PRL, Reboot, Wiped everything again, flashed debug, flashed cm7 & gapps?

Are you saying, all i needed to do was wipe, flash debug, then flash cm7 & gapps?

You did understand! :-*
Yeah, but if you did the whole thing and you are SURE that you flashed the debug file right before flashing cm7 again then we can assume its not the phone that's the issue... If you are sure, then we can start looking into outages in your area or issues with your data connection locally or even problems with your plan...

My dad called me yesterday (in texas) and was freaking out because he said his phone wasn't getting any data connection...it didn't seem to fix but then at night it magically popped back on...hopefully this is the case over there in PA :P

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

Okay, So I did those steps again just to make sure I did it right, and this time I know for sure I did. Still no data icon's showing, for a second I seen 1x icon but it went away, I toggled airplane mode, and what not and still nothing. I know where I am located has nothing to do with it, because my samsung epic has no problems with data. Also when I was on RebornRom data seemed to work fine.. My cousin seems to really like cm7 and would love to have it.

When I go into about phone/status, it shows I am in service but shows Mobile network state is disconnected. Also I went to wireless & network settings/mobile networks and made sure data was enabled, I even checked national data roaming & still nothing..

Am I the only one having problems connecting to data on this Rom or have others experienced the same issue? I would look but 111 pages is a lot to go through.

Went through a lot of crap to get my phone number changed today...though the sprint people at the store were extremely helpful with my rooted gingerbread rom cause they all have done it on their evo lol. one lady was impressed on how responsive our phone was with 2.3.5 compared to stock. anyways long story short. if you have Google voice activated on your phone and you want to change the phone number, as the sprint representative to deactivate your Google voice , they can do it in store, then change the phone number, be sure to have at least reborn rom on temporarily so they can do a prl update and profile update. check to make sure the phone makes and takes calls. then when you get home put whatever rom you had back on and go to your Google voice inbox and activate your new phone number.

if anyone needs a cheap microsd card walmart 17.88 for 8gb and 10 something for a 4gb and 9 something for a 2 gb...idk either pricing wise but w/e

Yes. Post #2, question 2. It's the same steps for the process that you need to do.

BTW, don't do a backup (or restore) of your current system in recovery if you are having issues. You must start fresh. You will need to flash the ROM and gapps over like is listed in the steps.

Wow wish all this was published sooner lol. Sun CT got hit by hurricane my phone was running drew's Cm7 stable.... only phone with service in area... great right well my power went out and for what ever reason the Tom ate my battery from 100% to 5% in about an hour. So I figured change Rom for now ok sure phone started roaming so updated Orlando and profile, not roaming, charged battery. Powers back switched back Tom to Cm7.... now I'm roaming again......... I had been searching all last week for a fix to lack of prl updating on the cm7 found nothing. I tell ya I had planed on posting this sooner just been busy. Mon I went and found a spot it town I got good signal changed roms and updated prl and profiles till my battery cryed uncle trying to get back my evdo but did it from backup to backup no middle steps figured if I brick it ill start fresh.....really wish I had found that post sooner. Never came up in a search for prl updating.

As stated in the first post of this thread, this project is on hold. I am incredibly busy with real life at the moment (launched a business/service, about to get onboard with another, etc.)

I will release an update when I have time to resync, remod, recompile and upload. It takes more time than I have in a day at the moment.

Awesome ROM. Keep up the work!

Does anybody else get a "call has been lost" pop up when u try to call?

You must go into your contacts and remove the "1" or any extra character that may be present before the area code. Ex: xxx-xxx-xxxx try dialing a number in that format and it should work.

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/09/2011 | experimental: 08/08/2

First off, great work on the rom. I'm very happy with it. The only issue I have (which seems to follow me on cm7 roms) is that the ringtones for individual contacts do not work. I have used Zefie's, and ath3nos versions with the same problem. I can change the default ringtone for the phone and it works for all contacts whether or not they have a ringtone assigned to them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, I have somewhat the same problem, sometimes the contacts ring tones work, other times it goes to the default, not a big issue to me at all.

The following will fix notifications, I thought it was already incorporated into CM7 though?
Code:

/packages/apps/Phone/src/com/android/phone

Hey man, Nice build, just flashed it on and I like it BUT one thing... None of my headphones are working. I put them into the jack, the headset sign shows up and then the sound plays out the built in speaker.

Any ideas wussup?

Just reboot and it should work. I had the same issue at first.

Are you sure you did a FULL wipe before flashing?
