Just got this up and running. Miss the roaming application from reborn.
Where is the updater?

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/02/2011 | experimental: 08/03/2

A few pages back I read about a bug with in call volume muting the call below 60%. I am having a similar problem. Is this a general bug currently or is it just a few? Any possible fixes?

I don't see any updates or product & profile update options.

Any way to force roaming?

I'm excited to check out the 7.1.0.1ex5 so thats technically 7.1.0.1.5 build via ota update right? Is it still compiling?

Also is it possible to make the volume any louder on this phone in general? To me this always seems like I have to have my ext speakers cranked and my air horn app on the phone could use a boost... (I'll also poke around, it just seems like it could be louder)

Is anyone else having a problem where the rom is stable until the first reboot, and then begins to reboot every few minutes? This has happened to me after multiple clean flashes and at different processor speeds.

Running:
  • Latest stable build
  • Data2ext
  • Governor set at 245/787 Smartass, later set to 245/600 Smartass

No, but I'm at 748.

(I did have to switch to Interactive Gov to clean up some screen-off skipping while playing Slacker Radio)

Also had this issue with astro player pro when the lock screen comes up. Switched to google music and love it...I will be adding more music to get better suggestions.

Is the 8/5 build coming soon? I'm about 10 minutes from passing out

PRL updates have been removed. (didn't work correctly)
For ROM (and theme) updates, you must be running the latest EX build. (7.1.0.1.4)
The updater for them will be the top choice in 'menu/settings/about phone'.
Good Luck!
If you are talking about the update itself showing up in the updates: It hasn't been released yet.
To be able to see the EX build when it does come available, you will need to press the menu button whilst in the ROM update menu and set it up to receive the EX builds as well as the Stable builds.

afaik, there is no way to force roam on CM7. (I very likely could be wrong..................as with everything I post)

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/02/2011 | experimental: 08/03/2

I am on the stable build. May go back to ReBorn later. Going to see how battery life is on this.

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/02/2011 | experimental: 08/03/2

The stable build hasn't had the updater added yet. You'll have to wait for the next stable build for that, or run the ex build.

Why am I getting international roaming warnings on wifi?

Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/02/2011 | experimental: 08/03/2

Ok I ran a test of the battery running this Rom:
This test is not to state if this Rom is good or bad it is to just to show what kind of power usage there is with this Rom. All phones run differently, depending on setup and apps installed & power use may vary!

Build ID: STABLE-001
Build Date: 08/02/2011
Using SetCpu: 122Mhz/748Mhz w/on damand scaling while screen is on
Using SetCpu: 122Mhz/480Mhz w/smartass scaling while screen is off

The test started Thursday at 9:00pm when I got up to 100% charge (can not bump charge Drew's CM7, due to the fact the phone turns on when plugged in). Results as follows:
All radios off of course means wifi, snyc, bluetooth & data off
Normally when All radios are off, phone is sitting idle not in use, which means the Screen is off as well

9:00pm Thursday 100%: charge, All radios off, Time for bed
5:30am 96%: woke up
5:30am to 7:40am 82%: Bluetooth & data on, sent 3 texts, recieved 2 text, 15min on tapatalk (checking Forums)
7:40am to 9:30am 80%: All radios off
9:30am to 9:45am 76%: Data on, 15min on tapatalk (checking forums)
9:45am to 12:00pm 74%: All radios off
12:00pm to 12:45pm 64%: Data on, 30min on tapatalk (checking forums), Searched web for 10min, received 1 text.
12:45pm to 2:30pm 64%: All radios off, received 2 texts, 1 text sent
2:30pm to 2:42pm 59%: Data on, 10min on tapatalk (checking forums)
2:42pm to 4:02pm 54%: All radios off
4:02pm to 5:30pm 44%: Bluetooth on, 43sec phone call
10:00pm Friday Test ended Phone off charger 25 hours with 39% charge left (Not that great with the little use it had)

Now in my opinion this is VERY lite use of the phone, and I feel that when ever data is on this rom drains the battery quickly. This is compared to other Rom's such as Reborn with the same use would have aleast 50-60 % charge left in the same time frame. (Normally can go all weekend on one charge). Again this is not to say this is not a bad Rom, use this information as a comparsion to your phone use and see how they compare! I would actully say I like this Rom, it is very quick, reacts well to touch screen inputs and I dont see any lag when switching between screens or apps. The people who are working on this Rom did and still are doing a great job.

On the battery note I got 27 hours out of my normal usage with juice defender and Collins of course. Which also included 2 hours of angry birds another 2 hours active data/wifi use phone radio on the whole time and an hour of music.

In my honest opinion not having any of those supposed battery savers works better than using them. Personally I think juice defender super power and green power all are useless. They use more power than they actually save.

Sorry guys, the build did in fact finish compiling but I totally broke a bunch of things so I started rebuilding the whole thing, had a few too many and passed out. Which sucks because I totally borked a single line of code so I gotta rebuild AGAIN.

So frustrating... but this one should be good (third time's the charm LOL) and will be released ASAP.

No Problem take your time. ;) We rather you take your time and make a awesom Rom than rush one and have it not work right.

Just wanted to let you know, you and the team did a fantastic job. My brother installed this on his, and it has convinced me to install it on mine. Great job!

It seems as though you are describing
