Re: Drew's CM7 builds (stable: 08/02/2011 | experimental: 08/03/2

I really want to like this over ReBorn. The force roaming app was a godsend for me at work with low signal. Battery life on this seems to drain faster than ReBorn as well. I really miss the LG Calendar widget too. I know having a 2.3 based off LG/Sprint will be better someday but I am not sure what to do now..........running Drew Stable 001

Released. Have fun, kids. If you want to use the OTA update mechanism introduced in 7.1.0.1.4, please read the special instructions on the first page.

Experimental released just now...has a broken link! Oh noes!

vBulletin broke the link, not me lmfao

It's fixed now. Apparently vBulletin doesn't like it when your links don't have http:// in front of the URL.

Installing OTA now. So far, so good. Had to restart the download once, but it's working!
Very simple, very, very nice!
It was pretty easy before, but now! Talk about spoon feeding! My phone is starting as I type!
Sweet!
Went perfect!
Does it make a nandroid? (too lazy to look)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

No it does not make a nandroid backup automatically. But if enough people want that functionality I will add that in.

Drew on the OTA update ex-005 it has the stable icon rather than the experimental icon

Yes I am aware of this. But the reason for this is that I wanted the experimental and stable builds to have different update servers to keep things in check. This just makes sure nobody tries to OTA update from experimental to stable and vice versa because switching between the two arbitrarily isn't supported. And too, if I were to make the experimental build actually display as experimental builds, nobody would see them without an additional configuration step.

Ok updating kills data2ext. Have to reflash for it to work again. Other than that no problems :)

This rom is sweet!
Not sure if it's cm7 or the rom.
On the lockscreen, the music widget is half covered by the rotary slider?
Other then ad-free, don't think there is to desire.
Oh, this works with my jabra bluetooth handsfree fm transmitter! Music and calls.
I also copied over my keypad layout from reborn. Nothing wakes but power and home. lockscreen vol still switches tracks!
Sweetness

So your saying stable to experimental OTA isn't supported? Because that's what I did hehe
