No they don't. You're reading too much into it. Put down the bong.
If you're just gonna throw insults and state I'm wrong, with no evidence, please don't take part in this discussion.

3G plans and 4G plans currently are exchangeable. If you're currently on unlimited, either 3G or 4G, you will stay that way after 7/7...at least until your contract is up. If you're that worried, just nut up and get yourself a 4G phone. If you want the Bionic, buy it at full retail, then sling the other device on EBAY. You gotta pay to play. Swapping SIM cards doesn't affect you're contract.I am too, but I can't see from any business point as to why Verizon wouldn't. 4g is advertised as the latest and greatest, and it makes no sense to allow unlimited 3g to unlimited 4g when they are enforcing tiered prices. It's more profitable to Verizon and they have a real reason to back it up.
3g plans and 4g plans are not exchangeable. Unlimited from a 3g plan can not be transferred to a 4g plan, only stating you may keep your current plan after 7/7/11. Hence renew current plan or upgrade phone.
I'm sorry, but I think a lot of people are gonna be quite mad after 7/7/11.
The evidence is from the same source to which you referred. You're just reading it incorrectly. You are overanalyzing it.If you're just gonna throw insults and state I'm wrong, with no evidence, please don't take part in this discussion.

Nor does it state there are different pricing structures for 3G vs 4G3g and 4g plans are exchangeable now, as I've already stated. Verizon's leaked tiered pricing info does not state 3g and 4g plans are exchangeable after 7/7/11.
If I'm over analyzing it, show me where Verizon states plans are exchangeable after 7/7/11. Seriously, If you're right, I want to know.
current plan means unlimited
It doesn't, very boldly saying data packages will remain the same for both 3g and 4g.Nor does it state there are different pricing structures for 3G vs 4G
I understand that. There is no difference now beween data pricing for 3G and 4G. There is also no difference in pricing between 3G and 4G AFTER the new rules go into effect, either. Data is data. What you're reading is, is that if you switch from unlimited to something else (plan) you can't go back. Like I said...let the blunt burn out on its own.Yes, unlimited for 3g or unlimited for 4g. Verizon states you can keep your current plan, but does not state you can switch plans without tiered prices.

You're mixing up data packages and data plans, they are not the same.
Existing customer rules (grandfathering):
Just as we reported yesterday, existing customers get to keep their current data plans. No length of time has been set for this, but as of now, it’s “forever.”
Current customers will also keep their unlimited data plans after renewing contracts and upgrading phones after July 7.
As long as you lock into an unlimited $29.99 data plan before July 7, you get to keep it for the foreseeable future.
New customers and new lines:
All new customers as of July 7 will have to fall into one of the tiers listed above.
If you are an existing customer and add a new line after July 6, you will also be subject to the tiers.
Even if your entire family plan has unlimited data, your new lines after July 6 will still be subject to tiers.
If you were looking to add a new line, now would be a good time.
3G vs. 4G data:
There is no difference between 4G and 3G data plans. All of the new tiers will fall in at the same price and do not care if you are using a 3G or 4G device.
This is the same for current customers with unlimited data plans. You will see no change.

I don't like to argue on here, so let me just say to read very carefully the post above yours. There is NO DIFFERENCE between 3G or 4G unlimited plans.
Different plans means like changing from an individual to a family plan, etc...Jasper is spot on.
Wrong. You are simply upgrading.Let me explain it a little better:
I have an unlimited data package with a 3g plan. Lets say I want to upgrade to a 4g phone after 7/7/11. I may only keep my unlimited data package if I do not change plans, but since I am, I will have to go under the new tiered pricing and accept the data packages for a 4g plan. It may be the same price as 3g packages, but they are two separate packages and plans. You may only keep your current.
Yes. Current meaning unlimited. Stop dealing yourself out. You're good.Let me explain it a little better:

Ok man. Believe what you want.Whatever package you have for data, 3g package or 4g package, you can only keep that package with the 3g or 4g plan it goes along with. They may be the same price, but they are not the same. What do you not understand?
