So does this wipe out all your settings and data? Sounds like the OTA update doesn't.

I've gone through most of my stuff, and haven't noticed anything wiped out.

So, to get this straight, you get the red "!", then the option to load the update after that's done?

On mine I had both, I want to say it is the 3rd or 4th option in the recovery console.

It has been sitting on a phone symbol with a red triangle with ex mark for 5 ish min now. how long till it gets past this point?

Except he said to hold Volume Down instead of Up.

I'm stuck at the picture of a phone with the red triangle and the exclamation point picture... it's not doing anything.

Even after it loads the image, which I named "PC36IMG.zip" to get it to find it, I do not have an option like this. If I hit recovery, the phone just shows a phone with a red exclamation mark.

Hmmm....

I got the zip file and am using RA-evo-v1.7.0.1 and no luck.

I kept it named original, and also tried renaming it to update.zip.

Either way I get the following:

"E:No signature (624 files)
E:Veerification failed

Installation aborted."

I held a combination of buttons, and the blue text allowed me to update from that and it's loading the update right now.

Okie Dokie. That did it for me, too. Once I got to that Triangle with the exclamation mark screen (after selecting "recovery" in the menu) I press and held power + Volume Up. Then I got another menu with the option to install the file from the SD card. BTW, I renamed the zip file "update.zip"

Good luck, all. Install is going on now for me.
